How about
Flux Fusion PCC === able to meet your changing needs
Cold Fusion PCC === okay maybe I watched The Saint today =P)
65/78 Fusion PCC === just state what it fits in the name. srsly.
Mini/Stan PCC === same thing but using the battery sizes by name
Fusion PCC v1 === we geeks love to know what rev we are rocking
The One Fusion PCC === to Rule them all
The Fusionator === Grab my PCC if you want to live!

Oh yeah and Purple Battery with Purple LED definitely would buy. Even blue led would rock on Purple Battery.

Sorry, please ignore. =P

Nice, thanks! Keep 'em coming!

Oops! I was up all night last night, and did not read your question closely enough Slim. I thought we were still talking about the new PCC.

The clearomizers I don't know about currently. Last I checked he still wasn't satisfied with how the prototypes were performing, and was still working on it. But all they had were a few handmade prototypes, so he couldn't let me have one to test myself. I'll ask about that tonight too. :thumb:

OK, new info!!

The MaxxFusion clearomizers are through the prototype stage, and I will have samples first thing next week. I will keep you posted.

The NEW Bloog exclusive adjustable PCC however is still not even through the computer stage of the design. Our engineer was NOT satisfied with his assistant chief engineer's work on it, even after several attempts, and has promised to take over the project personally and have that stage done by the end of next week.

Thanks for the update Leaford. I find it interesting to know the stages the different projects are in, and to follow the progress. Makes me feel like a part of the process somehow.

Clear isn't all that. They look cool when first filled, but after you start using them, the wicking gets brown and gunky up by the atomizer. Looks pretty ghetto, really.

100% agreed. They look ghetto. Like a Franken-contraption, and very difficult to re-fill. The CE3s are apparently going to solve this with the 'small window', but the current CE2s just look silly. Interesting technology, though. You can actually see the coil.

Thanks Zotzer and Frick. Not having used them I would not have known the downside of them being clear. I mainly just want to be able to tell when I need to refill without a lot of guesswork. And I was thinking I'd rather see inside the cartomizer so I could monitor whether anything was burning, melting, scorching, etc. But again, I have no experience with these yet, so your feedback is helpful.

Was it something I said?
As for a naming thread, it's still premature to open one now. THere's at least a month in the development cycle, probably two. It'd go too far off topic andor get buried by then. No reason not to toss around ideas, though.
Absolutely. No way we can let a thread stay on topic for more than a day. 2 days tops!

And evie, luv, since I've been summonsed, I'll do my best. Unfortunately I'm not too inspired.
So how 'bout we just focus on making this clear for beginners? What we need is a system for names, not just a name. That way if you know the system, you know where each of the models fits.
I remember a funny exchange where leaford and... was it starsong, maybe slim? Anyway, they couldn't get it straight about which upcoming pcc design they were talking about. It included something like "wait, do you mean the new-new pcc, or the new old pcc or the yet to be designed new-new new style pcc?" So here's the new-new naming system.

The newest current model PCC will always be called the "Newest PCC". So when shopping you will be assured of buying the newest product.
New PCC designs in development will always be called the "new newest PCC". Additional "new"'s will be added for however many revisions in the future we are talking about.
Each existing PCC will be designated with an "old" for each generation outdated it is.
It'd go something like this:

Fusion PCC = old-old PCC
Maxx Fusion PCC = old PCC
Mini PCC = newest PCC
mini pcc with adjustable 65-78 battery compartments = new-newest PCC
mini pcc style 78+ batteries = new-new-newest PCC
PCC fitting in an android phone with cold fusion generator and built in holodeck = new-new-new-newest PCC

Once the new-newest design is in stock, it becomes the newest, and everything drops down a tier. I know, I know, simple and concise to a fault. It's my greatest flaw.

Man, I miss a lot when I ignore this thread for a few days!

Hey Leaford-

About clearomizers.... if the problem is always the plastic cracking, why not make it metal, like current housing, but with a plastic "window" on two opposite sides?

It would run long ways, almost the length of the cartomizer. and since there'd be two windows on opposite sides, you could still see through, especially in the light.

Seems the plastic cracking is the only problem holding these back.. so why not think out side of the box? which happens to be half way back to where we started. :toast:

Once more then I'm going to drop the subject:

The website currently describes the mini pcc as only being able to hold 65mm (mini) batteries. Makes perfect sense.

If you are all trying to tell me the website is wrong, and the mini only refers to the fact that the pcc itself is a bit smaller than the previous model, and it really does hold 78mm bats, then PLEASE update the website. I purposely didn't try to buy one because I believed what I was being told, that my 78s wouldn't fit in it.

For a new name - please make it something that makes sense so the shoppers don't end up too confused to buy it.

Thanks.

hi star, you are correct, the current mini-PCC only fits the 65mm batteries. See below, where Leaford addressed this last night. But I agree with you, the PCCs that will be designed in the future to fit more than the 65mm batteries should not be called mini anything.

Here I why I thought it was for the mini bats and not 78mm, because it says so on the (always accurate) website, right under the picture:
MAXX FUSION MINI PCC IS COMPATIBLE WITH 65MM BATTERIES ONLY

The current one IS only for 65mm. I'm just saying we didn't name the PCC "Mini" because of the batts it fits, we named the 65mm batts "minis" to match the PCC's name.
