I asked Nui if he could make a dozen or so Lanyards for me for gifts here in China, because the double handful I brought with me went fast. He made me 3 dozen, in an assortment of designs! Merry Xmas to me!! :D :D

Sorry to be a tease, but these won't be on our shelves until the next time we have to reorder. Of course, after today's give aways, that might be sooner than we expected!

And, because I missed one in the first pic:

I'm glad you guys like them, but the real question is how many would buy them? :D

I'd love to get more of these to sell, but as much as everyone who has one loves them, the lanyards just aren't a hot seller. As functional, beautiful, and useful as they are, lanyards in general just aren't everyone's cup of tea. So it just doesn't make sense to order more, when we still have the others on the shelves.

Maybe though we could arrange some sort of pre-order type of arrangement. It would cost a bit more, and take more time, but with enough pre-orders at a time, maybe we could get smaller orders now and then, with a few different designs to choose from. And maybe then we could even do custom jobs on request.

What do you think? ANy serious takers?

i'd order blank ones to customize myself--but i paint. but if guys would also order blank ones (or maybe black-on-black, or bead-less ones)... that'd be an awesome option. cause i'd def order *multiple* blanks to paint for myself and hubs... & i wouldn't be too adverse to painting requests if ppl liked my work. (but obv not if y'all do custom through the site, not steppin' on toes!)

I was just sitting here thinking how nice it would be if there were different colors. I would love a nice brown like the cinnamon cartomizers.

Tested it out on my work badge zippy thing. There is enough slack though I would be worried about durability of the cord area that attachs. Might want to triple loop it if that is the preferred place to wear it.

Personally I never wear jewelry but I have no problems wearing my lanyard. It is jewelry with purpose not just senseless bling.

But I agree, just solid colors and/or different ways to wear it are more likely to get male buy-in. Even trucks aren't enough to lure some guys into a 'necklace'... Though I bet if they customized the 'chain' and had the ability to put their own symbol on it. (sports team, religious insignia, Nascar logo, Marvin the martian etc) there might be higher uptake.

Is there any sort of leather sticker or tattoo that the artistically challenged could affix after market? They have oodles of neck cord options. The leather battery holder part is great and has alot of potential if people could customize it themselves.

But I do think that the beads should be black or match the leather color. cool beads but they don't coordinate well.

My 2 cents.

There really isn't any sort of sticker or tattoo or anything that can be affixed to leather aftermarket that would hold up suitably well...I've been doing custom leatherwork for upwards of 15 years now and really design wise theres only about 4 different ways to decorate it, carving, stamping, dying, and painting (with acrylics)...and not all 4 work on all types of leather for example carving and stamping only really work on vegetable tanned leathers..I could go on but the short answer is no there really isn't much that can be done to them aftermarket other than painting and even the paint will eventually fade and wear off..
