then put the thermo on the side for now - it probably needs a spacer but not sure what could be used. when copper pennies were copper it was a different story, lol
i might send a pm to h8 or maybe chelle will catch this. i know she has to use some spacers for one of her mods. did you place the 17670 next to the 2 original cr123 to see how much difference there is in height?

I hadn't until you asked so I did now. There is no way I can see that measurement but it looks to be "about" the same size as the plastic ring on the top cap. It doesn't help that the new battery is somewhat lopsided.

i never had a lopsided battery but then i've only used 10440 and the original sp2 batteries so far.

the 17670 is supposed to measure 67mm or 6.7cm, wonder how far off it might be.
can you lay the 2 cr123s next to the 17670 - just flat on the table?

after i catch up with my kitchen cleanup i'll try to search for spacers.

I thought it was a little lopsided (it visibly slopes to one side) because of the wrapping but the more I look at it, it doesn't seem puckered or loose. You know how a protected battery has a kind of a ridge? One side of the ridged part actually looks taller but the coating is tight. I swear. Literally.

Give or take a hair or two depending on which side I place the ruler, it is 2 and 5/8 inches long. I don't have anything to measure cm's.

that converts to 66.7mm so it could be a little short to make contact. the thermo is also supposed to take 2 16340 batteries which, stacked, should come to 68mm.
madvapes recommends using dimes as spacers in chargers where the batteries are too short. this SHOULD mean you could place a dime on the bottom [negative] end of your battery to see if that would establish good contact. i'm not sure though and i'm hoping somebody can confirm.

Oh for the simplicity of just lighting a cigarette. Honestly, sometimes messing with all this stuff and it not working makes me so angry I have to go have a cig.

lol - dh swore up and down that all the aggravation of getting things [cleaning atties, etc] to work kept me from smoking in the beginning .......

OK, read up a little bit...I can def send some magnetic spacers to Sky to see if that will do it (put both at + end of top batt)...I don't know nothing bout no dimes in mods though. :p

i believe i still have sky's address some place but it would be better if you got it from her!

she usually keeps an eye on this thread - she's been running into some problems with her sp2 [all is well there now] and now with her thermo

So, I just asked LoxyBear and he said a dime should work....I guess give that a go Sky...if that's a no go, please do PM me your address, I'll get you a couple of these spacers out. :)

Still watching you Tib...and when I sleep...the squirrel watches...be afraid, be very afraid. :p
