thanks, Napster. That's what drove me to make a few more. Having done that, I've come to the above conclusion. Seeing as how there's no chance of automotive fuse versions being "stock", nobody's gonna see em but me, and the 2 or 3 people I give one to. Trouble is, why give one to someone who is perfectly capable of bending their own? conversely, is it wise to give one to someone without even that much initiative or ability? Hmmmmmmm . . . . ..
let me ask that another way....
who would care to send ME this stuff? ....
... and underwrite my insurance?
'nuff said![]()
Took one for science!Thats too bad about your meter and your short, BUT big win on our fuse mod pulling through! I'm very excited that everything was kept safe. Thank's for updating us!
Woody (Mama), I'd be more than happy to send you one. You want? PM me.
By the way, Feisty Alice, you intimated, but I wasn't sure if you were joking. I made one with you in mind too. (let me know)
after reading this thread (oblivious to (ignorant of) the electronic language here)...
Will vaping a .5 or .6 ohms coil on a stock brushed aluminum Reo Grand cause premature batt deterioration vs. a v-drop mod Reo G, or a mech pv that has better vdrop specs?
So it may have been discussed but I'm too tired to read through all of the other posts right now.
Is 15amp too much?

It works fine but I haven't short tested it yet.
Either way to be safe I'm just rolling w/ a 10amp right now. At 3 bucks per box of 5 I figured why not.

Hey pdib, good to see you are still moving forward with the advances in eliminating voltage drop at every point, and even adding the safety aspect. I've modded many average tube mods by improving contacts and switch design with stellar results. I have my first Reo from the Aussie classifieds arriving any day, so all this info will go towards my own upgrades for the Reo when it gets here![]()
Not sure if this has been covered, but Atmizoo Meet The Bug | atmizoo vaping modware has a resettable polymeric fuse rated at 8A and is able to handle coil resistances down to 0.5 ohm. I have a couple of them but haven't tried putting one in my Grand yet, but it is definitely small enough to fit, but may need some kind of shim to take up extra space without the spring to push everything together.
