That's not a hcigar clone - don't know what it is but hcigar are one of the few clone companies with standards and a degree of after sales support. Vivid Smoke are either being naughty or they've been duped by their supllier

Looking at Alibaba listings your clone came from a company called Shenzhen Jiazhida Technology Co., Ltd - it even has the insulator protruding in the image on their page;

no dought, glad I didn't order one! these things are hard to find, any of the ones I have found recently, the vendors don't ship here... I wish I could find either the Tobeco or Rainbow Heaven version... I would have thought this clone would be popping up everywhere by now?

The Raindow heaven version is the same as the Vivid version as far as I can tell;

vivid version, as in "vivid smoke" version? the rainbow heaven picture you posted doesn't have the protruding 510? or am I just blind....

Same knurling, same nasty looking numbering on the bottom.

The Tobeco version is performing very nicely so far and no problems with the anodizing - actually hit the finish on the deck a few times with stainless steel scissors whilst cutting wire.

Not a mark on it.

The original makers are contacting vendors and getting them to remove the cloned items off their sites - that's why you're not seeing the clones everywhere.

I'm also wondering if a true hcigar Squape exists at all - the various Hcigar reps have facebook pages and I haven't found any mention of the Squape anywhere. The local vendor I use is supposedly getting the HC version this week so I guess we'll see.

I saw some pictures of supposed HCigar squape on the internet and they all are exactly like the ones in the pictures above. I thought they actually looked better than the Tobeco version....the knurling on the Tobeco version is pathetic but every review except for one has been positive for the Tobeco version.

Here are some links to pictures of supposed HCigar Squapes:

Squape RBA Hcigar - Vapers-One

I bought this thing strictly based on HCigar's reputation on making top notch clones and it seems I have been had. I am going to check it out and see if it is bad as others are saying and if it is... I will return it immediately and let everyone here know. But this protruding insulator and weird writing at the base of the squape clone is making me really worried...I just can't imagine Hcigar would release an obvious mistake like that.

Just got this message from my buddy on the Winsmoke.....looks like it's a win! lol

Just got my squape in the mail. Its made by winsmoke. Compared to the one I got from vividsmoke this thing is ....ing awesome! Excellent quality. I recommend it highly. Everything about it is top notch. I don't think the one vividsmoke has for sale is a hcigar because the quality was so bad. I have tons of hcigar .... and its normally excellent quality. Buy the winsmoke version if you see one come up for sale. It has a glass tank also. I am ....ing tickled with how nice this thing is. Drilled the air holes out and it .....ing gets down!

Damn - I could have paid only $7 more for a decent Squape?

I'm not gonna another now.

No more squape for me. I can't even get it to wick. Airflow sux. Shorts. I don't like it at all.

I wouldn't let your previous purchase put you off.
Looking at the fake Hcigar you're certainly within your rights to get your money back - the Vivid Smoke version is piss poor and it was miss-sold as a Hcigar when plainly isn't.

Get your money back and buy a Winsmoke or a Tobeco - the Tobeco is pretty decent, comparible to the Taifun in my opinion.

Still prefer the Taifun though!

You just need a GOOD Squape! Don't let that POS discourage you! When set-up right the Squape out do's the Kayfun in some aspects IMO. Stick with it! lol

ok. I got some 30 gauge kanthal that came in vape mail today. I also got a 12watt kick from FT the other day - which I haven't been able to fit in anything - and kinda don't have much use for. But now I do. So I decided to wrap a 30awg micro coil to 1.8ohms. Use the kick in this old Sigelei fakeazz bagua 18650 thing (that I never use). I was able to fit an 18500 plus the kick in it.

First coil I got a short. Went to unscrew it and the negative post came out with it. Now I know why this thing shorts sometimes.
And why it leaks. Liquid sitting on the top of the deck is traveling down that negative post - which is that little nub at the bottom of the atomizer. I knew fluid wasn't coming from the 510 - cuz there was never anything on the 510 center pin. Just all around the bottom.
Anyhow. I just thought of it now - but I'm gonna take it back apart and put some ptfe on the very end of the threads on that negative post. I was thinking loctite, but I want to make sure it makes connection. Any thoughts on which might be better?

Ok. recoiled again. same 1.8 ohm 30awg. short cotton wick cut to the ledge and fluffed at the ends. Set to 12 watts - vapes ok. Little gurgly now. I left the 510 center pin about 2mm out. That pin is an airlfow adjuster. Ha. It opened up the airflow a bit. So it's doing better now. But I need to figure out how to get it wicking without drying out or flooding. Seems like now matter how many different ways I try to wick it - it goes one way or the other.

I'm gonna take it back apart. Put some ptfe tape on that negative pin. Recoil and wick it a-gain (for the 50th time).

4thpower you are relentless (good for you)....man I would have given up when I saw I had to shave down the screw heads. I wonder if vivdsmkoke will give me a refund? BUt I have to tell you I got a 69 mod that everyone was saying was crap and didn't fire....but when I got it worked beautifully. It was pretty much a 1 to 1 replica. Everyone who was complaining didn't know bout the 2nd reverse screw and they didn't know that the unit works only in one of the 69 positions while it doesn't fire in the other 69 position. But this unit just seems like it is just a bad replica...man I am not looking forward to getting it at all now.

I wasn't aware there was more than one 69 position. I guess I should have read the Kama sutra.
I hope my unit works in all positions.
I don't wanna try the reverse screw though.

Add one more to the list of very satisfied Tobeco SQuape clone owners. Glass tank confirmed. One month of daily use, no discoloration of the deck. Never a short, gurgle, loose tank, or any other issues. I did run a drill but through the 510 intakes (2) and deck intake, just to make sure they were 100% clear of obstruction (which they were). I find the vape from a Taifun marginally better, but this Tobeco SQuape has been more enjoyable than a Kayfun or KFL by about the same degree. :2c:, YMMV
