I got a piece of junk clone from fasttech,I have only been into rebuildables for maybe 2 months or so.got everything else to work except the SQuape, fasttech sent me a link it shows a guy taking a part and putting one back together I'm quite good at that. Now they want to send me parts I told to go ahead and send the parts if that will fix the problem I also told him if it dont I'll throw it in trash I did not pay but $23 for it.Having shorting issues also 510 adjustable pen wobbles it's just flat out garbage trust me it was a bad batch I found out that here.
You should give it one last ditch effort before you chuck Chucky in the trash. If you can get it working, it's a really nice vape, and pretty easy to build, once you sort out all the places it can short.
For the wobbly 510 pin, you can get one of those Kayfun 510 insulators, stick it in the 510 hole, remove the o-ring from the pin, and screw it back in. I got mine from
Lightning Vapes.
Another problem I had was that the post screws scratched the lip inside the chimney, so whenever the screws touched the parts that were no longer nonconductive, it would short. The parts kit that they're sending you should help with that - I heard the post screws in the kit have smaller heads, so hopefully they'll clear that lip in the chimney. When you fill, try not to tighten it all the way or back it out just a hair, just to make sure the screws don't touch the chimney, in case you've scratched it.
Also, check the threading on the post that screws onto the base (negative post - not the one that screws onto the plate). When I got mine, there was a lot of gunk in the hole and on the screw threads. That has to be totally clean, because if there's anything obstructing contact there, it won't be grounding, so it'll short. Clean the post threads, then screw it in and out of the hole several times, maybe with a little Dawn.
Those were the three places I was getting shorts from. If you get leaks too, try a little teflon tape around the threads at the top of the chimney before you screw it into the top cap, and make sure the tank insert is fully seated with the top and bottom clear o-rings in place (on mine, they didn't quite push it in far enough, so it leaked out of the triangles).
