Got the replacement top from Kingtu - glass sealed with O rings - a perfect copy of the original.
The C deck that I received is a dud though - no curve in it at all, not too bothered though.

Not going to celebrate yet, but Chuckie may be fixed. I spent all afternoon making a custom insulator for the 510 pin. I first had to grind down a piece of insulator rod to fit into the opening. Then get as thin a lip on it as I could. Then very carefully drill just a bit of the hole larger at the very end so about 2/3 of the pin head fit inside to get it short enough to connect to a mod. The pin is stable so far.

I used the new pin and post screws I got today from the repair kit FC sent me.

Inswva, I think your screws might be better if I can grind off some of that sloped shoulder under the head, but as they are, too long to connect to a mod.

Lots of slow work here though. Took me about 2 hours.

Heh, my SlowTech clone is still a moody little b##ch when it comes to the positive screw. It can be working wonderfully, with consistant ohms, then I unscrew the base, refill and screw back on, and it'll refuse to fire.
Today, I ditched the Vivi Nova insulator I had been using and wrapped some tape around the non-threaded part of the screw, then fitted the original green o-ring and it seems to behave - for now!
Really weird, 'cause the other clone (and I think both are Coppervape) have been working flawlessly from the moment I got it...

Can't wait 'till I get the real deal tomorrow - and some more when it's back in stock, if it's a success :)

This is FastTech SKU: 1899301 Squape Reloaded / Triangle Windows RTA presumably Coppervape.

Short Center Pin:

The longer pin is: Length 16 mm, head 2.5mm, threads 3.21mm

So I've been told by reliable source: (E_SMOKE on FastTech forums)

That's the same pin I have on my Ivogo. I got it to work by ordering a 510 insulator for KFL and removing the o-ring from the pin. Screws in about 2/3 of the way into the plate. But you need an insulator that fits into the 510 hole and has a lip that will keep it from sliding down the pin when you tighten it. I think Roxy made one out of a delrin tube.

See 1b?

Ack, my joy only lasted a few days with this thing. Now it's a little flaky about when it decides to fire up or not. I think it's how the post screws catch the wires because of how the thin posts ever-so-slightly protrude from the deck - gonna have to figure out how to get teflon washers in those tight spaces now (under the post screws). Man, fun just never ends on this thing. :grr: But when it's working, it's my favorite atty so far, so back to the drawing board.

Cindy, I wrap my coil leads all the way around the post screws to help with that. Very thin washers would help. FDV has those and I thought about ordering some. Just don't want your post screws touching that chimney or the anodized coating could rub off putting the base on the tank.

I had trouble with a kayfun insulator because all my screws and pins stuck out too far. I used it as my model though. Just made the lip a lot thinner.

all the way around. OK, got it. Next time it happens. I think I still wanna line the deck with something though, just so I don't eventually scratch off the coating when I build. Maybe a 15mm teflon washer cut out to the shape of the deck. And maybe better screws. These are kinda funky (not as perfectly flat as I like).

My pin was sticking out too far too, until I removed the o-ring. Now it's perfect. But yours is probably better material. The one I got came in a set that was so cheap - probably nylon - I doubt that it's teflon. But dang, 2 hours of wittling away at a tiny piece of tubing!

So I got my Kingtu over the weekend, was ordered off eBay before all the listings got taken down (someones really cracking down on them :glare:). It actually looks pretty darn good, I'm actually kind of impressed with the build quality of everything. I haven't built it yet, but so far I looked through some of the common problems and I don't seem to be having any of them. Tank didn't seem to leak, my post screws FIT (sheesh, how did they mess that up?), the deck came out and the W deck fit in no problem, the AFC ring feels smooth and amazing, airflow seems to be flowing just fine, no rust, etc. I guess I won't really be able to test the 510 having any issues or shorting until I build it, which I am going to do tonight.

One thing though, how tight does your decks fit into the chimney? My decks seem to fit kind of snug, not like I have to force it, but the deck and chimney definitely make contact with each other. I'm concerned that might lead to scratching the inside of the chimney and eventually removing the coating, after screwing and unscrewing lots of times.

Mine may be the same one and my experience is aligning with yours. I've got a nicely fitting (snug as hell) W deck in and haven't tried to remove it yet so let me know how to do that. No leaking. The ohms on my tend to jump around just a bit and I take the tank off and adjust the screw in both directions a half turn and it settles for the rest of the tank. But a pretty good vaping and flavor experience so far.

I was actually wondering about getting the Ehpro non-logo version and swapping parts to come up with a solid atty. I have no idea if the decks and 510 screws would go back and forth but my experience with Ehpro has been pretty good. Any guidance out there on that clone?

China has been "preparing for shipment" my Elrkonigin clone for one week now. I have the packaged item picture from FT and hoping that there's just no shipping update. Yep, I'm clearly in the beggar rather than chooser group on this one.

My SQr clone is working well now. At first, I had the S deck installed and had a hell of a time removing it. Had to use pliers and a lot of effort to pull it out. Now using the W deck and hope I don't ever need to remove it. My original came with a printed card that the clone packaging didn't include. I scanned the card below. It contains info about lubricating the 0-ring.

While I'm at it, here's a pic from the Fasttech forum showing how to clean the ematal coating off the female threads that the 510 screw goes into. Use a piece of wire to help scrape off the coating. I would use toothpaste or some ajax on the screw.
