Just a quick heads-up. My Squape arrived with the adjustable center post out far enough for juice to leak out through the center post section.
The post wasn't out far enough to be loose or even that noticeable - but it was enough for a full juice load to seep out over an hour or so.
Last of my 'Twas Brillig, too - sigh.

Anywho - check you center post when you get a new Squape. I'd suggest running all he way in and back out to proper height once, just be safe.

Not I.

I'm inclined to say that with how tight a fit 2mm ekowool is without anything in it, that an SS wick with an ekowool sleeve might not fit in the channel so well.

I switched over to cotton from ekowool and pretty much stopped running anything else so I can't say that I've tried running a hybrid wick in my Sqaupe. That being the case, I could certainly be wrong about the fit.

If you've got mesh and ekowool on hand, hows about giving it a go and letting us know how it works out? :)

Hopefully others will chime in.

I am not liking the draw of the squape, it is way too tight. I end up sucking to hard and flooding it, juice running down the 510 connector. If I wanted to drill out the air hole, would I be able to use a regular drill bit or 1 for stainless steel? What size would be the next 1 up to the stock air hole?

I dislike the draw myself, but I'm pretty much the complete opposite of the handy man type, and I'm afraid to mess around with a drill on expensive things. Also, I think you would need to drill the inside hole as well. I've asked a few people I know, and they seem to think it would be difficult to drill a second hole without a drill press and a strong drill bit. So instead I just ordered some bead reamers from ebay. I'm just going to try to enlarge both the holes inside and out, little by little, by hand. I'll let you know how it goes when I do it.

But I do want to add that if it's flooding, have you tried messing around with your wick setup? I had some flooding at first but it wasn't because of the draw. There is a fine line with this between flooding and dry hits. For me it mostly comes down to making sure the wick is touching the bottom of the channels at the top, but none coming down the sides at all, and not even sticking too far out the sides at the top.

I use a 1/16 dia. micro coil, set into the channel with the tails of the coil at the top; not at the bottom. Then a single piece of cotton, from a cotton ball, through the coil, and set into the channel. Trim the cotton off even with the edge of the platform. I've never had any leaking, flooding, or dry hits.

I can confirm you'll need a strong drill bit. I tried last night and busted my drill bit drilling it out. I was able to enlarge the one whole with a micro file in my drill and the draw is better. Not perfect for me but better.

Well i have been waiting and waiting for the new batch of SQuape's to come out ( new packaging and new/improved air paths so i have read ) and finally got one!

FYI for anyone who is looking for one, They were all released today by Stattqualm. VapeRev has them in stock ( the new ones ) along with all the other retailers who carry them ( VapeRev being the only U.S. place that carries them at the moment according to Stattqualm )

I held off on buy one used simply because most people were asking 150 used for them and seeing as how they go for 150 new, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Some people complained about the air flow so i figured hold off until this new batch came out with the improved air paths ( though i can't compare the new ones to the 1st batch since i never owned one )

Bought my very first Kayfun about 3-4 months ago ( i was strictly all about gen RBAs ) and ever since my first Kayfun, I haven't touched my gen style RBAs. I now own 3 Kayfuns and won't look back.

Cannot wait till my SQuape gets here.

I wish i had known that the new ones were coming out so soon! I just bought one off of the classifieds here...but thats ok, i can always drill it out like in Trips video if i dont like the draw. It should be here in 3 or 4 days and i am excited to get it.

I will go back and read all of the post here...after watching several videos is what sold me on them

Just picked up mine last night (sn#1648) and I am in love. Far from an original statement but "the air draw is too right for my taste". I plan to drill a second airhole 5/64 on the opposite side of the 510, should fix her right up. I'm noting it performs a little better on properly slotted/slightly raised 510s. In spoiled with the open draw of a kayfun 3.1 and the draw on my mister v3 is one that I got used to. As far as the build, I'm with it. Microcoil around a 3/32 with 27g 8/9 wrap with cotton ball and I love it:
I'm having a good experience with this atty and I love the easy way to build/fill.

All in all I'd say this was worth the price tag. ...... to find out fast tech made a clone, but oh well. Maybe I'll pick one up for spare parts?
But then again maybe I'll just cough up an extra $150 and snag another while I can.

I had to lower my center post down a little bit to play nice with my Provari. It doesn't flood or gurgle, and I imagine it's not leaking, but I do get a small ring of juice around the bottom. I checked the oring, and it appears to be good. Not sure what's causing it. Anybody?

Guess i am now looking for a GLASS tank kit for my poor broken Squape. I cant wait to get such a fin install tool.

That bites! Kinda disappointed on how weak the PMMA is. Might decide sometime to get a Pyrex replacement myself.
