I'm really loving these square bottles, I love the extra capacity and the feel of the flat surface when squonking. Most devices have been converted over, including a Grand with the 9ml Japanese bottle, no issues so far, all good. I ordered another 8-pack for the Mini's and 18490 Woodvils, for backup (my wife has a mini and a 18490, I have a mini and 2 18490's). The big Woodvil would need a small amount of material removed to allow the 9ml Japanese bottle to sit flush IMO, so it has not been converted. Probably best done with a dremel.

The 9ml bottle from Vapage fits in a woodvil perfectly with no adjustments needed!
I would never trust myself taking a Dremel to my woodvil.

Taking a Dremel to a Woodvil........arrrrgh!!! I'm with you, Rudy. I have the 9 ml bottle from Vapage in my Woodvil, too, and it fits perfectly.

Have we done a round-up of which bottles are best and who sells them? I'm having trouble following where the people who have had good luck got theirs from and where the people who had leaks-a-plenty got theirs from. And they all looks so much alike that I couldn't figure it out from the photos.

Yes please! Could you guys be so kind as to post the link to the bottles that you have found to work the best!

I'll just have to find something else to buy from Amazon because I'm all the way at the bottom of the dark continent and shipping will be about a million time more than the bottle costs!

I'd sure appreciate that also. I got the red capped bottles but I have a bit of leaking going on. I have a Mini2.1. Someone mentioned that their experience with the blue capped bottles were better?

Help is certainly appreciated. Thank you.

That link above is the ones I got for our mini's and 18490's. The other link posted earlier in the thread has 11 bottles, 4 x 6ml, 4 x 9ml and 3 x something bigger, they are a bit thicker and I have only tried the 9ml one in a Grand so far with very good results but I don't use the Grand as much as the others, so its not really tested much yet. I think where people might have trouble is drilling or making a clean hole in the cap, an 11/64" drill bit works well but be careful of your fingers when doing this, since the cap is so small it can be difficult to hold it, and drill it from the inside out. Another thing to be careful of is the quality is not the same high quality of a Reo so check that the cap seals properly on the bottle first (gently squeeze the bottle under water, at 1.5 times squonk pressure, and make sure there are no air bubbles). If it passes that test, any leaks can only be around the hole you will drill.

Ian - are these the 11 bottle pack you're talking about? http://www.amazon.com/Travel-Plasti...d_sim_k_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0NX5NB2YP0W1K33QWVX5

Thanks for your response!

Yes, I had leaky with the red caps, but the bottle body is thicker on the red capped bottles. The green/pink cap bottles have better caps but thinner bottles. The other problem is the threads are slightly different between the two.

So my current working, non-leaking square bottle setup is a red capped bottle with a green cap drilled out to 11/64" with a drip tip oring in the cap. I think its pretty important to drill the green cap centered too so to maximize the benefit of the little raised ridge inside the cap to help seal.

So I found these for $1.5 at a Japanese store here. It's only 6ml but in trying to see if it's easier to squonk, i just put one in my LP grand...keeping my finger crossed and will watch closely to see if it'll leak...

While my 6mg bottle from Daiso works perfect and not leaked at all I want the larger bottle. Ordered from amazon and they arrived today. Used the 9ml one but with the cap from my 6ml bottle as it seems to seal better. The larger 9ml bottle fit better in the Grand and it's even easier the squonk as it's closer to the squonk window than the 6ml bottle. Keeping my finger crossed hope they won't crack or leak later on.

The one on the right is from Daiso locally--$1.5 plus tax for 12 bottles in 3 colors for the cap. The package on the left is from Amazon.
