Don't blame you one bit...

So glassgal sent me some contact info, I'll give him a call Monday morning but there may be something to what she said about the shape of the bottle we're looking for... there may be a reason why they don't make square bottles i.e. structural integrity and the blow mold process and thin walls...a cylinder is a much more efficient shape. At any rate... I'm constantly ordering different bottles (they're cheap)... sooner or later I'll find my silver bullet... and again, thanks to rudy for opening my eyes to the flat top cap idea.

I ordered 2 of the 4-4.5 ml bottles from Vapage to experiment with the mini & 18490. Should be here in beginning of the week. I update you on my fiddling findings! :)

Quigs - somewhere on this forum there are pictures of the 9ml vapage bottle mod inside a grand just forgot where I saw it.
maybe someone here remembers and can direct you to them. They were clear pictures of the mod.

LMAO..... I don't know you well enough to answer that but the post made me chuckle.

What would you do with 15 ml's. 6 last's the entire day for me and I hit it pretty hard.

On second thought, might be pretty nice!

I used to like the idea of a lot of juice with me at all times. Obviously I still want plenty, but I'm never away from my house for very long since I work from home. My Kayfun cured this. I loved the idea of how much it held and I had been using RDA's exclusively for quite a while at that point. Now that I've had my Kayfun for a while, I can't wait to get a nano kit for it because I want to change flavors way more often than I'm able to.

I think the idea of square bottles sounds fascinating but I'm guessing that there's a reason their not already made. I believe that splitting at 90 degree corners would definitely be the weak point in our applications.

Meaning that they would have to be filleted corners. This would reduce the juice capacity to something a little more than what's existing but not as much as 90 degree corners.

Again, the idea sounds cool but I just don't think their are that many people looking for more juice capacity in a REO grand. I know I'm not.

I do understand that on a mini it's a bit more of an issue. But that's why there are grands - for those wishing for additional juice capacity.

I can see this vision of Rob, being the kinda guy he is, investing his time and cash into a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist and at the end of the day it is really not even a big seller or people will wonder where they can buy them cheaper than Rob has to sell them for.

Not really. I know Rob is nice but he ain't dumb.

A great suggestion could be that someone who is interested in a few more ML out of their mods could contract with the bottle company and sell the bottles yourselves. Perhaps Rob may even buy some to list on his site :)

you know, the 6ml bottles are pretty short. I use the 6ml bottle in one mod I made that has the bottle completely inside of an 18490 sized tube. now it would be way too long with the cap so I mount the bottle without a cap. I made a tight fitting head that inserts right into the top of the bottle and seals it with no cap and it's much shorter. should be short enough to fit into a 18490 mini I'd say... sorry I don't have anything reo that's smaller than 18650 so I can't actually do it, but I bet that it would be very possible to fit a full 6ml into an 18490 reo with the right cap/bushing type setup, might require a custom firing pin to accept it though? I agree it would probably be a waste for rob to pursue a square bottle when the 18500 probably won't outlast the 3ml to begin with... I could see some wanting a bigger tank but at the same time I don't see that alone really changing anything for him in sales... hell even the 6ml is more than enough for the big reo's although I do like the bigger ones if given the choice, 6ml is not so bad really...

I'd say the really hot mod here would be to make the mini accept the 6ml bottle  wish I had a 18490 woodville but cash was way to tight on sale night

I know exactly what you're talking about. ..I took a 6ml and cut off the nipple part of the cap which leaves a threaded cap with a hole in the top...I then shoved the tube through an old carto plug, jammed that into the bottle opening then screwed the cap (with the hole in it) onto the bottle which stops the carto plug from coming out. .. It's a pain to fill but it "just" fit the mod I stick it in. ..

I think I remember way back Karen ( nerak) said that she had a special custom prototype "super mini" woodvil with a 6ml bottle. I remember her saying that the walls were very thin to accomodate but it fit. Not sure about metal REO

I go through 3 full bottles of juice in the Woodvils and REO Grand a day (not counting the BB, E-pipe, Microstick, Provari, Arhat, and they are ALL in full rotation at all times and loaded with juice, but I don't usually refill them but once every few days because I don't vape them as heavily)... at 12-18mg Nic (like cigs, if I upped the nic, I'd just vape more nic). That's average. I would DEFINITELY like more juice volume. Sounds like you're nearly off nicotine if you aren't getting through 1 bottle a day. Course, I'm getting off a 2-3 pack a day cig habit and only quit in Oct/Nov 2013.

The only 18350 I own is a microstick, and that's just a spare to stick in my back pocket, I pack mods in my purse and on my person when I go out like action heros pack weapons. I don't leave the house with less than 4 if I'm going anywhere for an hour or more.

18650's hold a lot of juice? Er... I'd prefer my nic in 8 oz bottles if there were a delivery unit:). I mix my personal juices in 4oz glass bottles with 2 oz refill bottles on my desk and 1/3 oz testers to try a new blend. I had no idea people actually could get through a day on 1 REO 18650 bottles of juice a day... seriously.

are these 18490 mods? the 18490 should be ~ the same diameter as the bottle, guess the 3ml are smaller diameter too? guess the mod is made a little narrower because of this? I don't have anything to do much further playing with this...

The 3 ml. bottle in my Mini 2.1-AW IMR 18490 Batt. is about 13.5 mm(+ or -). Cheap calipers.

The Mini box is about 3/16 inch narrower than my Grand box. Of course any box is grand.

taller bottle with flat top is the vmod bottle

wow gg, that's a lot of juice... I usually average 4-5ml a day, sometimes as little as 3, sometimes as much as 6. gotta love that you need 4 mods to feel secure enough to go out for more than an hour, I thought I was bad always having at least 2 and sometimes 3 mods with me... the only mod I feel secure enough to travel with as a solo is my grand or my woodvil but I usually have at least 2 with me. 2 mods holding almost 20 ml and I'm good for days and days :D

I don't actually measure the juice, just how many times I refill a day. Since we're talking about 18650 REO bottles, that's easy... I refill each one once a day. Other mods more sporadically.

I don't need to take that many mods with me.... I just do... maybe after a year or 2, I'll be down to a bottle a day too. That would be nice:). My husband is finally cutting back on smokes and starting to vape a bit more now too. We're saving a LOT on cigs (well, I'm spending a LOT on mods...). But given that we were not only spending a lot on cigs, but all the quitting aids besides, I can spend on mods (almost have enough now) and still be way ahead by the end of this year just in cig $$.

I find that I vape more when I'm using my 18490 - I can go through two 3 ml bottles faster than I do 1 6 ml on my 18650 Woodvils. Not quite sure why, other than I like to change up my flavors and I think I get bored past 3 mls in the 18650, so I put it down and grab the 18490's instead.

I was the same way with my metal grand when I had it - got bored quickly and set it down and reached for the mini's instead.

On a heavy day - I might vape 6 mls at 12 mg. I was an almost 2 pack a day smoker.

ETA - I did NOT realize that smiley was going to be so big!

It's a cute smiley:). When I started, I varied my juices a lot, trying to find ones I liked, because I wasn't sure what I liked, and I didn't fully like anything I was vaping...

Now, I'm settled into 3 I REALLY like (pretty recently actually), and so I've cut down a lot on the experimenting. For the past month, I've done a lot more mod experimenting and juice experimenting too, so I guess I've been vaping more because of that. But I go by the volume more than the ML, because I fill the bottles when they empty ahead of time. Most of my blends are complementary, so if I swap juice, I just swap the bottle. But I definitely go through 3 18650 REO bottles a day. I suppose that's a lot... I didn't realize that.
