Ack crap... they are in the UK!!! Gaah. How did I not see that?

I looked all over and can't find a US manufacturer that might already have 6ml in stock... I found some, but they're all big. Shipping from the UK doesn't have to be horrible. I used to get cases of plastic rock specimen cases from the UK and they managed to ship cheap and fast from there. And they are inexpensive, super light but super bulky little square lucite specimen cases.

How odd that the UK likes square containers so much, while the US doesn't:p. Just don't get the bottles from China, there's no telling what they put in that plastic, and if it's got anything toxic, storing juice, especially acidic or alkaline juices will leach those chems out. You don't want to see what plastic bottles look like that held essential oils for longer than a few months... they literally melt and become plastic glue. And some people blend juices with essential oil (peppermint and cinnamon come to mind). Smoking that molten plastic may make cigarette chems seem mild.

But Rob's getting bottles now that work pretty well, so what about asking his supplier for the round whether they can provide a source for square too?

That there IS a square bottle... look at the top photo. It's very hard to photograph square bottles with round tops:p.

Just call them and ask about the square bottles...

looks square to me:)

Yep they are square. It's just the way they are turned that makes it hard to tell.
I say its round. Where does it say its square? It looks round to me. Unless I am not looking at the same bottle you guys are. :)

We are looking at same bottle, its square with round corners :)
I just don't see it. When I googled it I found the same type photos and they described diameters not LxHxD. Why does everyone say they are square? Is that in the description anywhere? Pig headed here, I know. It would be easy to photograph these to show they are square. Just do a 3:1 or more lighting ratio from 45 degrees off camera and have the corner facing the camera. Simple.

See the shiny square edge right down the center.

It is hard to pick out.
Cylindrical objects do have a highlight that runs down them. It how light gets reflected off them. Heres an example. Look at the RM2s. Where the highlight is is determined by the position of the light(s).

"A small translucent 15ml LDPE Bottle 18mm Pointed Plug 18mm Pointed Cap with square shoulders."

15ml LDPE Bottle 18mm Pointed Plug 18mm Pointed Cap - The Plastic Bottles Company

Dunno, maybe a Reo owner in England can ring them up for us. Calling UK Reonauts...

It's square because you can see in the pic that the base isn't perfectly round, and in the upper pic the shoulders look square, and because Glassgal said so...

:D

ETA - and square things have a highlight that runs down them too. Oh this has got to stop...

From the above site listed in their specifications: Dimensions 72mm (max height) x 25mmØ. That symbol is for diameter. One would not use diameter measurements to measure a rectangular object. I guess I'm really pig headed this morning...lol. Sometimes a dog just doesn't want to give up his bone. :) I think I'm done here..for now. Sorry folks. Back to vaping my 6 ml round bottle.

I rang them up, the bottles are round. Just like I said...

To do a custom order, one uses the web contact page to state specs and possible order size ("so its all in black and white"), they will contact their supplier and see what their supplier comes back with. He mentioned if they have to tool up for a custom job it will cost a bit to do that. His name is Glen, sounds like a nice chap.

That pulled up when I searched for 'square 6mm plastic bottles' ... and it LOOKS square to me in the photo. But if the company says it's round, then it's round.

If they have to contact their supplier... then they aren't the manufacturer, in which case they can't make the square bottles in which case there's no point talking to them further:(...

Darn. And sorry Ian:(.

Here's a manufacturer in the US, their quantities 'are as low as 5000'. While this sounds like a crazy number, if they are only $.10 each for example 5000 would be $500 which isn't so terribad, and be a stock for years: About | Plastic Bottle Corporation

So lets look the normal way, here's the Thomasnet list of US Manufacturers for "Squeeze" Bottles:
http://www.thomasnet.com/products/squeeze-bottles-7063001-1.html?WTZO=NTKG+Suppliers+Box

So we're not duplicating efforts, whoever volunteered to look, just call down the list above and ask:
1. We need small square bottles of several small sizes, in food grade plastic (preferably LDPE) that contains no BPA or other chems, that is basically chem resistant, and very small, starting at a 6mm volume size. Would you be able to help us?

2. If yes, could you give us an idea of the process? Is such a size currently made or would we need to pay for molds, etc. What would be the cost of pre-production for a custom bottle? What would be the lead time? What would be the cost and minimum run?

3. If we wanted smaller quantities, and can't afford to go with custom, could you give us an idea of who currently makes square small bottles?

Some on the above list are not actual manufacturers but distributors... who have access to multiple sources and manufacturers. If you get a hold of one of their salespeople, you'd definitely get a better handle on how to run this down:).

Changing batteries is easier than changing or filling juice.

While we are waiting for the reinvention of a square bottle to hold more juice you could always order 2 Vmod xl bottles for like $3.00.
They hold 9ml of juice. Just drill the top and insert the tube insert in Grand. All done!

yeah, grand with vmod bottle is more than enough juice for me, I think a square bottle would really help the mini's a lot though, 3ml is kinda small

Yea, more capacity would be good. I thought I read that somebody was using a 4- 4.5 ml. bottle from vapeage and it worked OK?

VMOD Bottle Pack (2-pack)

I use my Mini more than my Grand, though I certainly like both. Anybody done the 4 ml. on the Mini? How's it working?

Thanks.

Really? And you drill through the (o ringed) flat-top cap?... that works because honestly the space eaten up by the dripper top is what bugged me...I wonder if there is a taller round bottle that will fit the 490 and just go to a flat-top?... things that make you go hmmm... nice one rudy

Me too!!
I use my mini as my pocket road warrior and even moving up from 3ml to 4ml would be great!
Anyone out there volunteering to get the 4ml bottle and try out?:|
