that's it for the lanyard shop folks. Sorry...but like most things on ECF....it's only cool when it's free. It was going to cost me $50 to keep the thread open so I decided to just let it go since in the last 6 months I have sold exactly ONE lanyard. But at least it was to someone I really like and I really enjoyed making that one. Thanks for all your support to the folks that put me in their signature but you should probably remove them now. I'm not allowed to sell any more and lord knows.....I wouldn't want to get in trouble.

not to sound too sappy....but as long as I'm fortunate enough to be able to do something that makes people happy...I'm successful....I just want to cover my expenses so I can keep doing this. And occasionally make one available to someone who really needs a lift and can't afford one. I think I'll go over to the cemetery and talk to the squirrels.......wake up you lazy dogs!!! Squirrel Patrol!!!!

oh yea.....Amanda....wait till you see the dolphins....hehe

I have noticed what you referenced also...............

I'm thinking perhaps that is my lesson in all this......in Buddhism what we are constantly practicing for is non-duality.....or the ability to see things as they really are without making judgements. MY need is to feel useful and appreciated. Maybe I should just need do what I want to do and if people are dishonest...that's their karma.

Karma is a ....H if it is abused.

*looks around to make sure nobody is preparing to throw a dagger at me while I type this for the reference to a female dog*

If people try to take advantage of someone that way, then it ALWAYS comes back on them much worse in the end. I will give it some thought and will PM you if any practical ideas come to mind, but there will always be those looking to abuse any "system". My consolation is that I do truly believe the first sentence of this post! ;) Congrats LK! :D

well I have the Sculpey....that's about as far as it goes.....LOL! But the raven I made seemed to turn out ok and I didn't think I could do that....so maybe I'll just give it try. It just amazes me to see people do this kind of thing......I don't know if it's something your born with or can you actually learn it somehow?

You can learn it. You've already gotten a good start with your raven.

Most of it is practice and learning to see clearly what you're trying to represent. Then once you see it clearly and can represent it fairly accurately you can mess with it- that's when the fun really starts :)

The great thing about sculpy is that it isn't permanent until you bake it, so you can work it and rework it. then it doesn't change when you bake it (unless of course you over back it a bit, or toss it in a turkey fryer or something ;) )
