Squonk Mod Recommendations?

At the moment I'm spending way too much on coils. I suppose part of the problem is that most of my favourite liquids are known serial-killers of coils, e.g. the entire Vapetasia Killer Kustard range, also their Royalty 2, these are my main liquids, but in general I like anything sweet, IVG Vanilla Biscuit, Just about anything made by Bombo,

RDTAs had looked like a good idea but so few available in the UK, but then I've come across an article explaining how Squonk mods & RDAs work and they look like they'd fit the bill nicely.

I'd be looking for a single-battery mod preferably 21700, and a compatible single-coil RDA if such a thing exists?

The thing is I'm not looking to go full-on DTL. I prefer RDTL vaping, I have hardware that can do DTL but I prefer to back off a little and use 0.4 ohm or 0.3 ohm coils in preference to like 0.15 and 0.2 ohm, and use a 510 drip tip over an 810, I have a couple of tanks with 810 fttings but I've put 510 converters & drip tips on those and I'm pretty sure using twin coils would be overpowering for me, maybe it's OK to only fit a single coil on a dual-coil deck? .

I'd like to be able to have multiple Squonk bottles so I could change them around through the day, I'd find being limited to a single liquid all day a bit miserable.

So with all that said, any recommendations? I'm in the UK but happyto source outside the UK if there are better things to be had in the USA or other places

TIA

Most rdas come with a little baggy of extra screws, o-rings, and a positive pin with a hole in it. Switching the positive pins will turn your dripper into a squonker. Just be careful and don't try to brute force it back together, there are some pieces that are pretty fragile. So in general, any rda you like will work.

And yes, a dual coil deck can handle a single coil. I've seen people make massive coils (7+ mm inner diameter)
and the only decks with the clearance for that are duals.

As far as the actual mod goes, do you have a price range? Are we looking for regulated or mechanical?

JMO...

Dual Coil RDAs (or RTAs for that matter) usually don't perform all that great if you try to run them in Single Coil Mode. They work. But many times the Airflow was designed to contact a Coil that is no longer there. So the Hit you get can be Very Airy and Flavorless. That, and Most Dual RDAs come with Large Bore Drip tips geared towards the Cloud Chucking Crowd.

It sounds like what you want is what we used to call a "Flavor Chaser" setup. A Single Coil RDA with more of a reduced chamber and a 510 Drip Tip.

Most RDAs these days come with a Squonk Pin. But make sure the description specifically mention it.

I'm not a good person to ask for Brand/Model recommendations. Sorry. What I have used as a Daily Driver for the last Decade or so most people would say be in a Vape Museum behind Velvet Rope Stations.
