i recently posted a pic of my collection and a guy asked me roundabout where is my squonker?
I have been thinking since I read that. I need one.

I have been looking at "Reo's mods". They look good, and reviewers I have seen tend to like them. Could you give me your opinions please. What is generally thought of as the best squonker and atty combo?

Btw, I wouldn't mind the proper drip experience as well as a mouth to lung atty that can be used. So two recommendations for attys would be great. Ta
I love my REO, as a single battery mech, it's tough to beat though some of the custom jobs are really nice. As for atomizers, my favorite is the RM8(derringer clone). Three post design with air options for single or dual coil. Great MTL flavor atty that also allows for pretty wide open DL inhales.

Perfect. Thanks lessifer.
I don't think a dual battery is all too necessary for me atm neway.

Just out of curiosity, what build and vape do you go for generally with the reo?
I prefer single coil vaping, MTL(really mostly just mouth) but with plenty of vapor, so my standard build is 26g Kanthal, 2-2.5mm contact coil, 7-8 wraps, between 0.7-0.9 ohms. I run that with two of the three 1mm holes open on the single coil side of my derringer.

I like the RM7 (Rogue clone). I use it in both single or dual configuration and even though the adjustable air holes are somewhat large the draw is still a tad tight when wide open. Big plus to this attie is that it's top air so virtually no chance of leakage. Definitely make sure you order an LP version of which ever Reo you choose.

yeah, like pennysmalls said, definitely get an LP(low profile) model so you can use the larger atomizers. Or the p67, which I REALLY want, but can't afford at the moment.

ETA: I don't think I've ever heard of anyone venting a batter in a REO, but it probably has happened. Make sure you get replacement springs. It's a hot spring which means it acts like a fuse and the spring will collapse if hit with too many amps(a short).

I don't know the amp limit but I do know of Reonauts who go as low as .2 ohm with the proper batteries. There have been reports of buttons melting but no reports of anything more worrisome that I've heard of outside of actually venting a battery that was either pushed to far or not correct for the build. For someone like you who stays above sub ohm you'll have absolutely nothing to worry about as long as you have good batteries.

Yay. That's great news. Do you know the amp limit of the hot spring. Thanks.
What about if I use general 22mm attys, are the ones you recommended 22. I like 22 and I don't want a massive gap on top of the mod.
I'm not positive on the amp limit for the spring, I know I've run as low as a 0.4ohm build on mine without issue.

The original REO Grand has a catch cup around the 510 connection, for back in the day when people used 510 atomizers with it and you needed something to channel the juice that dripped out the sides back down and not all over your hand. The catch cup allows for a 14mm atomizer like the RM2(which is a great flavor atty as well) or smaller like the chalice. The LP version doesn't have the catch cup so any sized atomizer will fit and seat properly.
