Holy smokes, I just fired up the z-max tonight. This thing is making me dizzy. Both batteries were dead on my twists so I figured it was time. Just got my aga-t and s tanks today and they need coils built. So I thru on the A7 which is ready to go, wow! All the functions are kind of overwhelming but I'm learning. Thanks again striker, this thing blows my twists away........

took me 9 wraps on the ZAP to get 1.6 ohms if that helps you any striker, this is enough for me to get that 24 watt vape by setting it to VV and going up to 6 volts, unfortunately it only works with stacked batts

Tried to dissassemble the zmax today, (first go at it) and the head is SERIOUSLY tight.. I couldent get it to budge. And i used the BFP's on it..

(Stands for Big _______. Pliers)

I marred up the standbys powerhead pretty bad, so i chocked it up in the lathe (drill in a bench vice) and sanded it down, smoothing the taper on the top side..

Anyways, im going to go to the hardware store and see if they have a specialty set of pliers i can use to crack the head off of this thing..

Its a tough nut..
Mine is tight as well. Cant get it to budge by hand. Did you try a rag and some vise grips? Im not so sure that spot of glue is worth the risk. Then again it could end up being a crack and might end up messing up the finish for nothing. Will wait to see how yours went before I try it since mine is also really tight.

Did not receive mine yet and waiting and waiting ....hopefully it gets here soon ...i wanna dance and play with my new toys lolll:rickroll::rickroll::rickroll::rickroll::rickroll::rickroll:
USPS is bogged down. One went that went half way across the country took 5 days and just arrived today. Hope you get yours soon though.

Ya lol. I needed one more wrap. Im using a carto tank for now. The P+ came today but it had a 18500 tube on it and the 18650 tube was not in the package at all. So two or three more days.
I wanted that Panasonic to fit so badly:

that sucks they didn't send you the right tube, fine looking mod though, i'm thinking about ordering one of these guys real soon myself:

http://www.smokerevolt.com/The-510-Lance-18650-XL-Tube-Mod_p_370.html

sent an email to get a few specs on it and to learn if the switch was mechanical or had an amp limit, that's basically going to be the make or break for me, hoping for the best though as it is a nice looking piece of hardware, plus i think it will mesh up with the AGA rather well

That is a nice looking PV. Let us know what you end up getting. The only other mechanical PV I ever had was the Telescope. It was a good PV with lots of options. If your in the market for one, I would steer clear of the SS version. The threads are not all that great on them. Telescope Bundle

Really not a big fan of the smok tele...I have another I'm looking at, but that lance is going to take priority...I just need to know what's up with the switch.

Sorry for getting off topic here folks but this is a must see for anyone that gives a crap about our 2nd amendment.
Red Alert!! Obama GUN CONFISCATION Starts Jan 1, 2013 - YouTube

I give a crap about the 2nd amen, and I firmly believe in all the principles this country was founded on. I also believe in our right to bear arms.
Nobody needs assault rifles, there is no need besides in a military environment. Yes that kid would of still walked into that school and did what he did, but maybe if he didn't have access to the firepower that he did, the body count would be much lower. Sorry man I can't agree with that point.

Well how about this then. No such thing as an "assault rifle". Assault is an action, not a gun :D. Guns dont assault people. People do. I understand though. Its hard to get my points across, and that's as intended by people much smarter then I am. I just wanted to inform as many as I could. Ive done what I came to do.

the gun he had was a semi-automatic bushmaster .223, which yes, is a clone of the civilian model AR-15, but its semi auto....a glock 17 is a semi auto as well and can do just as much damage vs. innocent unarmed children....and the stock magazine holds 16 rounds, more than enough to kill every single one of the children in the room with two magazines, that is if you aren't rolling with the 30 round extended mag.....in a pistol.

the gun he used was NOT military equipment, and he could easily have done as much damage as he did to those innocent unarmed children with a MULTITUDE of other weaponry choices, up to and including: 4 six round revolvers, a glock 17 with an extra mag or extended mag (or any other 9mm for that matter), a number of .40 cal pistols with the same options as the 9mm, a 12 gauge shotgun with a wide choke setting (which by the way, bird shot could have killed those kids), a .45 1911 with 3 extra magazines....and as far as "other" weaponry: a baseball bat, a 2x4, a knife, an asp, a pipe bomb (which you can make for about ten bucks with a trip to home depot), a machete, molotovs (see pipe bomb), and for ....s and giggles, several larger models of PVs could probably cause enough blunt force trauma to kill a kindergardener.....

my point made by all this is, a killer is not limited to a gun....if a killer wants to kill, he will kill by what means are available to him....banning guns is not the answer, we need mental health reform, and hell i'm even for stricter laws for obtaining guns...but it's not going to stop murder, i don't even think it's going to slow it down....the illegal firearms are still out there, and criminals can still obtain them, and as stated, a killer isn't limited to a gun.

as a final thought, if your significant other turns on you in a heated argument, and they strangle you to death, is that not murder because a gun wasn't involved? murder is not going to slow down, mass homicides are not going to stop or slow down....this is a band aid to give soccer moms a false sense of security, at least until there is someone breaking in their house and they have no way to defend themselves....i don't see this ending well, there are other options that can be taken into consideration first....removing guns from the public reach is not going to solve anything, mark my words, another mass homicide will happen....just give it time to let the band aid sink into people's subconsciousness for a bit, and when everyone feels "safe" again, there will be more blood spilled...weather it be by gun, IED, bladed or blunt force weapon....this is not going to stop.

and that's all i'm going to say, i refuse to respond to anyone saying i'm wrong...not because i'm that arrogant, but because i don't wish to hijack striker's thread.

I respect everyone's opinion its just that this topic is very easy to turn bad. However I trust that everyone posting here are smart enough to know how to have a informative, respectable debate. So far so good. :toast:. Really the time to hide under the covers is over. Our backs are against the wall, and we need more then ever for people to see that. Its not getting any better so we can only try to effect change, and open minds. Its not like a street fight where someone wins and the other guy clears the webs then gets up for another beer. It could be game over for everyone you know and love if this turns out bad. Everywhere I hear talk about civil war and I know govt agencies have been buying record amounts of ammo for some reason. What if they did take guns away. Then what could we do to protect our family's? Seems nuts to put all the eggs in the Obama basket, and just hope its for the best. Thats not the American way IMO.

So lets feel free to talk about whatever with respect for everyone here. We are all friends IMO.

WOW Striker I have set up my AGA-T and Zmax......WHEW blows massive clouds. I love this combo and the $$Price is GREAT. I really like this set up. :)
Thats so awesome. I could not be more excited every time I think about what we got, and what it cost. :vapor:

If I like the comment twice, it unlikes it.....so I liked it three times!!

I'm not a soccer mom, but a football mom....maybe that is where "I" differ. Of course just read my signature and you can see where I stand ;)

i like the sig, although i have to say my high school had an armed officer on campus during school hours...i can guarantee that presence would stop a lot of the mass homicides at school....he would stay posted up at the front of the school (back entrance was closed and locked during class hours) and if anyone came in with the intent to harm someone, he would have put a stop to it....

the issue i have with the whole situation in connecticut is that the kids were KINDERGARDENERS.....a stiff kick to the back of the neck can kill a child that small, banning guns wouldn't stop anyone from murdering that entire classroom at least 15 other ways.

Just to clarify my feelings about quote below.
I believe what happened is a tragedy and my heart goes out to all that were effected by the event. I only post this because I believe that stricter control is not the answer. And constant hyper vigilance by armed officers is not it either (ie. TSA). There is an obvious disconnect between right and wrong in some people. And until we address this disconnect we will not solve issues like the ones that drove this man to do the things he did.

"To all those blaming guns and demanding tougher gun laws, I'd like to point out that killing children was already illegal. Following the law was not a priority for this guy, and breaking a gun law would not have stopped him. It's not the weapons, its not regulation, its a tragedy. We didn't make planes illegal or attack the aviation industry after 9/11. Some people are just monsters."

Thanks for the link Striker. I'm glad to see someone voicing that ALL of the similar tragedies (for decades) were done by individuals on heavy psychotropic medication....something that is never front page news and only mentioned in occasional footnotes, despite the accuracy.

:2c:

And, to stay on topic -- I am really enjoying my Zmax. Very happy our coop took the plunge on this device.

Thanks. I am having a hard time adjusting to the Z. Been using mechanical mods for a long time. I fixed that wooden box fixed up and been having fun with it. Really like that one.

FTR, I don't disagree with the clear connection between the meds, BP, and the shooters. That would be plain ignorant. That I'm not. Also I never said take our, thats right our guns away. The Patriot Act and NDAA 2012 have destroyed anything that was left of our freedom. This is death by a thousand cuts, with a few huge blows thrown in as well. When the 2nd amendment was written these weapons didn't exist. To think that the founding fathers would of lumped them in with all the others they intended to make legal, is silly. IMHO.
There will always be necessary weapons in my home to protect my wife and 4 kids, legal or not. I just dont see the need for that much firepower with the destructive capabilities they have.
I 100% agree with you Striker about us being pushed against the wall and enough being enough. I'm just afraid we as a society are too far gone to ever get back whats ours by birthright. Too many lemmings following the one in front right off the cliff.

OK on to the Chobra. I had a 90mm 635 wick in my DID for about 2 weeks now (rough estimate). I have taken it out and torched it clean at least 5 times. I just got out my last new Chobra and trimmed maybe 10 -15 mm off the wick (width), and setup a fresh 1.5Ω coil in the Cho. The top cap has a stock airhole and I had drilled a 2nd airhole in it directly above the wick, on the slant portion. This was for the pyrex tube/coil experiment. Anyway this thing is cranking out the vapor. I'm going to do a little playing around with covering the air holes and opening them to different sizes to tune it. Initial thoughts are this may be something worth pursuing.
