Striker!?! What did I doooo?? I dropped my Z with a big honkin' Nova Carto tank on it and when I picked it up the carto tank was crooked  I tried to straighten it and the connection came loose 8-o Ohhhh gawd..noooo!!!!

I took out the batteries and then unscrewed the tank. Pressed the connection back in and pressed it really good on my desk. I now have a tiny circle on my desk, but the connection is back where it seems to need to be. It is a 'tad' wiggly though, not bad, just a teeny bit. I put the batteries back in and it fires fine. Is it OK? Is the connection just a press fit in? Tell me I didn't ruin my Z

On the plus side, I don't believe my big toe is broken. Note to self: Do not walk, text and vape barefoot at 2am.

Oh no. That sucks in so many ways. Before you unscrew that cap the best thing I found was to pull the post out so the wire wont twist off the board at the solder joint. Do that and unscrew the top. After that a shot in the dark idea is to mix up some JB Weld and reset it? The connector is pressed in from the bottom but once its loose it will remain loose till you figure out how to fix it. Looking at this busted one I have on my desk you can also try to crimp it tight again and I think that would be best.

But you will need to use a rag on the outer side of the cap so you done scratch it. Hope you will see what I mean when you get it open. Im sure its not the way they did it at the factory but its probably also not a standard household tool that was used to crimp it in place. Another option is that you can send me back the cap and I can give you the one I have on this broken PV. You will need to solder the wire back on. If you cant do that then send me back the tube and I will fix it for you. We will get you fixed up one way or the other.

Dam thats nice. According to something I seen yesterday the 1911 was called out by name to be turned in or face prosecution in IL. Keeping my eyes open on that and already wrote my senator, congressman and the dam white house. Cant let it happen, and hope it wont.

If bailing wire and duct tape won't do the trick, then there is always JB weld

I will try crimping it first and see where that takes me. I will give that a shot this weekend. It is pretty darn tight now. Is there any harm in using it as is?

Well it is the ground connection but I cant say for sure. If its loose your taking a small risk but I dont know the electronics well enough to say. The one on my desk said "Short" when I was messing with it so I can only guess that its safe but dont take my word for it. I will have to get the soldering iron out to see. But even if this one still works its not a sure thing yours wont short and burn the board or a component. Its not my place to say anymore then that. Sorry. Do you need me to send you my Twist or a VV Gripper as a loaner? PM me your shipping address and I will have one or the other out tomorrow. I remember you saying something about the new back ups being hurtin units.

Striker, your such a doll. How nice of you to offer, but I do have a KGO-VV that I just dusted off. The Z is shelved until I can properly fix it, tomorrow or Saturday I should have the time. I'd rather not chance it, my luck isn't always the best

Just popping by to say hello. I saw the coop was closed but didn't realize you closed it, I just assumed it went live. I just don't need another box, I was considering it, but then AFPV came up and I really want to get in on that mechanical. It's a pretty sweet US made hybrid and isn't several hundred dollars like Ihybrids are.

I really hope you don't stop the coops Striker, maybe if you just wait a bit something else will come up. With the rate they are chugging these things out, it shouldn't be long. Another coop just got cancelled because of a major change in the PV that a lot of people didn't like. Which was good news for me, since I was going to get a pink and blue so could then sign up for AFPV.

Hope to see you soon Striker!

Genny has been sent to Hibiscuits along with a DIY juice sample (hope you like it).

B2L ups the ante with a bonus juice sample... Eventually the device will be traveling in a 12x12 box full of goodies. I want to be last on the list!:D

Yay and juice too!! :D Awesomesauce! Thanks, B2L, I'll post with it arrives!!

Excellent! Very glad we decided to do this. IDK if I explained about slipping the wicks out w the coils in place to clean the wicks and coils. The Petar K method was used which will allow for that cleaning method. Just heat it up so the gunk softens up enough to release the wicks.

Genny has traveled to Texas!! She arrived today. Haven't yet filled her up, will later this evening.

The DIY, B2L!! OMG it smells amazing! Loaded up a shorty and it's quite nice, could use a little more sweet for my taste, but still very nice and hubby really likes it. I put some in a another bottle and added a bit of sweetener. Gonna give it a try tomorrow :) I simply can not stop sniffing it! Thank you so much for including it!!!
