Since I am obviously one of those unfortunate people that need WTA in addition to nicotine, and have tried unsuccessfully to get some ordered, I'm trying to steep some snus. Thought I'd share what I am doing, and maybe get some tips or warnings.

I took an empty tea bag, put 3/4 teaspoon of Thunder loose snus in, got an empty medicine bottle, and covered the bag with liquid. The liquid is 24 mg, and I'm sure the nic content will be high, but I have some pure glycerin to cut it with. the amount of liquid was about 12 ml.

I am using 2 packets of snus in my lip each day for WTA, and vaping 3 ml or so of e-liquid. I'd like to be rid of the snus (I like the snus, but would rather be done with all such tobacco products).

I plan to steep this for a week or so and see what I get. The point is to be able to vape enough WTA to avoid depression/anxiety that I experienced after a couple weeksof vaping only.

A very unscientific experiment I know, but I have no idea how much WTA I need, and no way to test my liquids anyway. I have read much here but it seems like a real hit-and-miss thing.

Any tips from those who see a potential problem with this idea and mix would be welcome.

I agree with Willie. I also feel that I benefit from WTA and use Snus in addition to vaping. I did a Snus extraction a while back and tested the results for nic content. I used 20 portions of General Original in 100ml solution of 70pg/20vg/10pga and let it go for four days. Each day I would put the container in a 145 degree hot water bath for a couple of hours. After four days I strained it through several coffee filters and than reduced the solution by 50% on the stove. I ended up with approx. 35ml and the amount of nic when tested is negligible, maybe 2 or 3mg as it only took 3 drops of acid for the color change. I have to assume the amount of WTA I ended up with is minuscule.

right i think you're going to need nic liquid regardless. not much will soak out.

i'm interested to try this tho. some folks have tried and reported too much salt.

soaking pipe tobacco was an appealing idea until i found out about the chemicals used in processing. snus is better because i think it's just pasteurized.

Not sure, do you have any info you can share? Would the organics raise or lower the ph?
