One thing is for sure I never had this much fun while smoking analogs. I actually started this a little bit before Christmas, today thought it actually came together after borrowing some tools from a friend at work.

It's made out of a piece of pecan wood, the tools I used were a saws-all, jigsaw, rasp, and mouse sander. It's far from perfect. It's not perfectly round which is bothering the crap out of me.

I'm not beating myself up though because the first time I've ever worked with wood. Needless to say though, I had a blast making this! and I will definitely be making more out of different woods as well.

Let me know what you think, and be gentle I'm delicate like a flower... :)

thanks roadrash, I'm gonna try to drill my holes in it tomorrow. After that is when I'll be asking the questions as to what type battery and guts that I need to put into my pipe. I'm thinking about a Gandalf stem for it, because they are so cool. After this one I got some other designs I want to build.

Thanks for the advice Boris, I'll get an 18350. There was no real reason I chose that location and style for my stem. Truthfully I didn't want it straight like it is, as I was more concerned about getting the size and shape correct on the bowl. I'm gonna be making some more here in the future in those is where I'll pay attention to stem shape.

I think when it comes to stems you just get/make what you like. Let me know if you need any help once you get started.

The biggest problem I foresee is making something to hold the battery down in the bowl. You need something threaded or pins or some kind of latch. I used a cut down bottom piece of a cheapo led flashlight. There are a few ways to do this. Find whats best for you.
