Hey all...I'm relatively new to vaping. Started with EZ Cig disposables, moved to rechargeable, now looking to move to refillables. The options are certainly endless and I'm certain that I'll find the one that suits me. My question is this....how often do people make the same progression that I did, meaning...go out and buy a disposable to see if this is something that I like, then move to a cartomizer and then migrate to a refillable unit?

Are there any studies on this that might shed some light for me? Any similar stories?

Thanks,

Rick

I didn't start with a disposable, but did get a "cig-a-like" type device. Moved to a tank system, then to a vv device, carto tanks, etc.

From what I've read on here and elsewhere, you are definitely not alone. I think the cheap disposable option looks good to new people because it's not an investment. Even the start kit I got was over $60, so in a way I was taking a risk.

I haven't seen many studies on e-cigs at all...

Yeah, I think many people have progressed as we have. I haven't seen any usage studies regarding, purchasing trends, but find it interesting, so any help would be appreciated. I'm sure some of the manufacturers have info on this, lol.

Yeah, there are definitely similar start up stories. Like ardelleg, I tried V2 at first. It was really because 1) I thought I needed something that looked like an analog, and 2) I just felt overwhelmed by all the choices. Once I was vaping the V2, I started to read this site (and others) and realized it's not all that complicated at all. I read through a blog by ShogaNinja, and it really had so much info in one place.

I wonder if anyone has ever thought to look into the progression...

I'm guessing that all the studies done thus far have been "health" related, due to FDA trying to interject themselves into this arena. I'm betting that manufacturers have done such studies, but they probably haven't been made public. Again, I'm just wondering how many people have a similar experience as we have, regarding puchasing progression.
