I vaped throughout the whole movie last night (inglorious basterds) and no one knew. I just hold it in my lungs for a bit then release. I also cover the led.
I opted for the no LED 510 batts (cignot). Full Ninja mode!!!

Cupping the glowing tip in one's hand is all very well but there's something furtive about the body language. Or you look like you've got arthritis! Finding a glowing red tip draws disapproving looks, I've now ordered one whose tip is blue.

I have a couple of electronics with especially annoying (bright, blinking) LED's. What works great is black electricians tape.
Fixed that "Check Engine" light too!!

Hold for a while blow it into shirt if you have to. Since most juices have a sweet smell anyway, most will think it's candy.

The way I see it, when I was smoking, I made more than enough concessions just so non-smokers can be comfortable. Now that I'm vaping, they have nothing to complain about if I do it in public. If they do have a complaint than it's clear to me that they aren't concerned with safety, they just want to tell me how to behave. Being a grown-... man I'm not very receptive to that.
Those of you who know anything at all about the rock band Hawkwind will be amused to hear that the no-smoking ban is enforced even at their shows! I'm seeing them later this week and the black 'robofag' that I ordered has just arrived.
