Also, use the supplied needle or one of the same size to fill and don't pry the top seal off using the fill hole.
If the fill hole becomes enlarged or damaged they will not work correctly and you will have leaking issues.

I would also suggest cleaning prior to use. I've had some ship with a lot of antibacterial/shipping fluid.

I trim the wicks @ a 45 degree angle for my 70/30 PG/VG and they are good to go. This seems to also bring out more flavor.
Even though most of my juice is 70/30, some is thicker than others. I gently rock the tube, which will raise the center post allowing more flow.
On my 50/50 juice I trim the wicks almost flush and life is good.

One vendor explained that a lot of devices are made for the mass population that uses 100% PG and that is why some devices do not wick as well. Is this true? Dunno, but it sounded good.

I've used the BetterLife CE3/CV3's since the 1st part of April and now it's the only weapon in my arsenal.
I don't mind doing slight modification for a little satisfaction :)

What do you use to trim the wicks? Or to even get down there that low? I've momentarily tried to take the plastic tank off, but not with much commitment. I was just sort of messing around (and it was a tight fit).

Oh and are the better life ones made with the same suggestions/updates as GV apparently makes to them for the Phoenix line?

I use cuticle scissors to trim the wicks.
Place the CV3 on a batt and rock the tube loose, but not off. Then remove from the batt and finish removal over the sink to avoid getting juice on/in the battery.

I don't know about GV, they are just a vendor.
BetterLifeTech is the manufacturer of these newer CE3/CV3's.

I have purchased these from 3 different vendors.
Vaporalley; valuevapor; Gotvapes and they are all the same.

Cool..

But by tube do you mean the metal post or tank? I often rock the metal tube off to clean, but it seems like the plastic is sealed on. When you're trimming, are you fully exposing the atty/coil section?

The tube will actually come off pretty easily if you kinda rock it (gently) side to side and pulling at the same time. You want to be careful not to deform the bottom of the tube thus ruining the seal for future installations. I've personally been using them, then cleaning them good, using again and tossing after that.

Not sure about it being universal but the "cover" for my syringe fits perfectly inside the tube to re-install the top silicone seal.

When I trim, it's just the atty with the metal post on as this is how the wicks will look once trimmed.
I've noticed when using drip tips, the drip tip seems to stretch the outer tube.
Once it's stretched, that end will not fit snugly on the atty. Just something to watch for.

I did use a knife file on the bottom of the metal tube. It made a small 'V' groove and aloud for better flow, but on really thin juice it also leaked a little.
So I just trim the wicks; fill and test. If I need more juice, I pinch the top by the seal and gently rock while watching the metal tube. It will raise slightly. Then I give it another test run. I repeat this step until it starts performing like a tiger.

If you happen to raise it to far, remove from the battery and push the metal tube back down. I remove from the battery as this step will sometimes push juice into the atty flooding it.
Blow it out on a towel and start over.
It may sound like a lot, but I can get one steaming giant clouds of vapor in no time and once it's rock'n'rollin, all you have to do is keep filling it with the same juice for days until it's time to clean.

I have a buddy that uses 50/50 & 100% VG, he likes to trim the wicks flush with the center tube.
I did try one this way and it worked on some, but leaked on other juices.
The 45 degree angle works for me @ 70/30.

Thanks. I did it flush for Gorilla (100 vg I think). I have some 70/30 coming in the mail, so I'll try it that way then.

OK, before I pull the trigger and order a pack or two of these to try, is there a newer version that I should be aware of considering that her (awesome) video is almost 3 months old now? It seems like every time I try a Stardust or a Vivi Nova a newer better version comes out before mine even arrive! :(

We love You . Period :vapor:
...and it is for...
Clowns are comic performers stereotypically characterized by the grotesque image of the circus clown's colored wigs, stylistic makeup, outlandish costumes, unusually large footwear, and red nose, which evolved to project their actions to large audiences. Other less grotesque styles have also developed, including theatre, television, and film clowns. Peter Berger writes that "It seems plausible that folly and fools, like religion and magic, meet some deeply rooted needs in human societyFor this reason, clowning is often considered an important part of training as a physical performance discipline, partly because tricky subject matter can be dealt with, but also because it requires a high level of risk and play in the performer.

The humour in clowning comes from the self deprecating actions of the performer, rather than the audience laughing with the performer as is common with other forms of comedy.

Www.discountvapers.com has them too for $10. Great vendor. These are my all time favorite clearo, I use them all day long and they just last and last. Make sure you fill with syringe upside down to avoid leaking... There are some other tips too on wicking, just search through the tons of threads on these here at ECF :)
