vaping is an artful hobby to me. I love buying the latest & greatest hardware and juices to experiment with. Alot of people, like me, take vaping very seriously and invest too much money but man it's alot of fun. If you stick with it you'll know what I mean.

I know too well of what you mean! However since I bought my Provari, I havn't found a model to top it yet and have slowed down on the PV front. However that doesn't mean anything for juice and attys :p. I just bought me a A7 rebuildable and it should come on Thursday. So excited! Sooo much fun :D. Great Hobby.

@OP, Steeping helps tremendously and I would recommend the hot water trick the most. What I do is I put my bottle in a ziplock back (so the label doesn't get wet) and boil water with my electric-tea-kettle. That will do wonders!

Well when I make some juice I put it a ziplock bag , toss it in my vibratory tumbler, and let it shake for about 15 minutes. After that it sits in water that has been nuked for about a minute with the cap off the bottle. That is for my fruit juices. I will probably do just the water bath and a good shake with tobacco juices

I thought the point of steeping was to evaporate more of the left over isopropyl alcohol that was used and left over in the extracting of the flavor? And so leaving the caps off and boiling aids in removing more of the alchol or perfume taste.. I could be wrong and am still new to vaping so probably am wrong...

So after reading this entire thread these are the conclusions i came to.

1. Try the liquid when you get it and if it is good life is good and nothing is required.
2. If you don't like it or think it should be better warm and cool it in a cup of hot water once or twice.
3. If it is still not good try removing the caps and letting it air for a while. Time could be hours or weeks.

Thread did answer the question I have if steeping is necessary, it is not if you like the liquid when you get it, but could be better if it is steeped.

A quick tip if it hasn't already been covered is to use an "Ultrasonic Cleaner" to speed up the steeping process... How it works is to take your bottles (with lids off) and place them in a plastic container that will fit inside your cleaner (or rubberband them together), then add just enough water 'til they just begin to float, run the cleaner thru 10 or 12 cycles, and (usually) vape away.

What I think happens is the ultrasonic vibrations ultra mix the juice and the mild heat that's generated by the process burns off the alcohol... Depending on your cleaner the process will take between 30-45 minutes...

OK, I'm blushing while typing this but here goes.

If I've made juice and am going out, going to me needing the fresh juice at some point while I am out, I stick it down my bra and use my own body heat, no need to shake it or anything, my general moving around does that nicely, after an hour I take it out and stick it in my bag.
Done this a few times and the result is that it tastes like I made it a week earlier and it has been steeping on its own in the cupboard.

Please don't judge me (at least I found something that works in a rush)

Don't blush, if it works more power to you. As for us guys, I guess maybe we could stick the bottle in our front pocket. But I doubt it will get warm enough. Guess we could stick a bottle in our underalls but with boxers it would just fall thru. Maybe I'll buy a pair of speedo's. Na, think I will stick with hot water.

I'm not a veteran like allot are, so I may be wrong on this. Correct me if I am.

Like wine or whiskey, both need to age with time to draw the flavor out. So with newly made DIY juice, ageing or heat pulls the flavor out. And when 2 or more flavors are mixed they need to be aged to blend together. Or like in cooking, heat will blend flavors, so by putting new juice in hot/warm water it helps speed up the blending or putlling out the flavors.

I've put clear scotch tape over labels (if they aren't too big) to protect them when in the H20 bath. But if you have a bottle with a huge label, the tape "thing" isn't practical. Perhaps you could make your own label to apply after steeping and put it in place of the one that falls off. I understand it won't be the same as the original, but at least you will have a label to tell you what's in the bottle.

I use those little colored stickers people use at garage sales to label prices. You can find them cheap at walmart. They come in small to large size.

I throw my eLiquid in my wot water bath / shaker for 24 hours straight, and I have not had one flavor that was not ready to vape after that process! I set the bath to 65 degrees celsius and about 100 shakes/min. Water bath/shakers are cheap! Usually around $100 used and mine has been going strong for around 3 years now :)
