Any thoughts on the two that I posted above? Price gets pretty close since the joy4less shipping is expensive. So more of just durability and size.

Joy4less holds two liters and the other hold 1.89 liters, so pretty comparable for size. Now just has anyone used both?

I think the Ultrasonic Cleaner generates enough heat on its own.

So I think I am going to order an ultra sonic today.

This one seems to be pretty popular Joy4Less Professional Grade Ultrasonic Cleaner 4810, 30-min Timer, Plastic Basket, any suggestions outside of this one?

And a few questions:
1.) Is it suggested to use heat on every cycle, thought I read someone only using heat on the first cycle?

2.) Any rough idea on cycle time, like 1 hour equals a 1 week of regular steeping?

EDIT: Any thoughts on this one, Amazon.com: 1/2 Gallon Digital Heated UltraSonic Cleaner Stainless Steel Ultra Sonic Gal: Health & Personal Care or compared to the joy4less one Amazon.com: Joy4Less Professional Grade Ultrasonic Cleaner 4810, 30-min Timer, Plastic Basket: Health & Personal Care

I am primarily concenred with durability, and wondering if both would be of appropriate size to steep a few 30 or 60 ml bottles at a time.

The 4810 is a very good choice it's what I use and I love it.

Start with warm water and use the heat cycle for the first 30 minutes then no heat until the water cools back down.

1 hour = 1 week is a pretty good estimate.
for fruits and candies no steeping to 30 minutes
for fruit and creams 30 min to 1.5 hours
for 1 flavor tobaccos 2.5 - 3 hours
for complex tobaccos (ry4's) 4 - 5 hours.

Awesome, thank you both.

Now I just gotta decide between the 2, price difference of about 25 when you look at shipping for the joy4less.

I like the the industrial one with the long timer set, and for whatever reason makes me think it might hold up longer. Or maybe just cause its shiny haha.

I bought the Hagerty from Home Depot it has a 59 minute timer, so far it hasn't failed me.

In that case see what the Hz is the higher the better

Hey GUCE-ers one and all - I just finished my latest video:

And it's time to devote an entire video to GUCE. But before I do that ... I'll need all your input/tweaks/tips. Anyone who has crawled through this thread knows I'm a 100% PG All tobacco-All The Time vaper. My DIY experience is limited because I make 4 flavors ... period. Everyone else follows waaaaaaaaay more complex recipes than I do.

So ... when y'all have a moment to spare ... shoot me some info about how you approach GUCE-ing and I'll incorporate it into the video.

Thanks,

Bob

That was a brilliant video. Dang, Bob, you got mad skills. :)

I don't think I get your question. The point of using an ultrasonic cleaner is to get the PG/VG, nic, and flavorings to mingle faster than just steeping on a shelf. I guess if you were trying to step down the nic you could make up a batch of just PG/VG and flavorings, UC that, and then add the percentage of nic you wanted but then you'd still end up ultrasonic-ing that to avoid days/weeks of steepage.

So I bought this one Amazon.com: 1/2 Gallon Digital Heated UltraSonic Cleaner Stainless Steel Ultra Sonic Gal: Health & Personal Care

1.89 liters, can adjust the HZ at either 42K or 26K, and a 90 minute timer with adjustable heat. The dimensions are pretty close to the Joy4Less, here is to hoping I picked a good one.

Thanks again for all the help, especially the suggested steeping times. Gonna copy that down now.

Any suggestions on temp to use, I thought I read 125F? So I understand to, I would use the first 30 minutes with heat, at what temp works best, then all remaining cylces with no heat?

2nd Edit: Sorry I have read through the thread, but don't remember reading how do people steep the little 6 ml plastic bottles? Or should I just use glass 15ml or 30ml and only put about 5ml in there to test?

Glass transmits us waves better but I rubber band plastic botts to the large glass ones sometimes.
