Steep with cap on

Air with cap off after steep is done and only about 24 hours. and only if nessessary.

If you search through this thread you will find many links to good UC's. The one below is similure to what I use.

iSonic P4810 Commercial Ultrasonic Cleaner, 2.1Qt/2L, White Color, Plastic Basket, 110V: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Thank you for replying. If you say it's good, then I'll get it. I was looking on Amazon etc, and some have different watts and other specs. I just had no idea of what to look for???

It looks good except - "Ultrasonic Frequency 36,000 Hz"

You might want to look for one at 42,000

Disclaimer -- I don't know Jack.... except what I read here. People smarter than me recommend 42k.

This just arrived for me. I had an Amazon gift card and wanted to replace the old uc with a 3 minute timer I have had for years.
It is the same size as my old one but has a smaller capacity than the models many others have listed. It does not have a heater but I found with my old uc that a heater wasn't really necessary - the action keeps the water warm. It just did a great job cleaning my Iclear 16 coils/wicks and on my rebuilt coils. I have some juice steeping now - I don't do any large bottles so I really don't need the larger capacity.
It is so much nicer being able to select a 30 minute cycle and walk away.

BlackHillsGoldSource Model 890 Professional Ultrasonic Cleaner - 30 Minute Timer - Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner, Eyeglass Cleaner, Dentures Cleaner and Other Household Sonic Cleaning - 600ml, 50 Watt, 42khz - Digital Timer with 18 Cycles to 30 Minutes

Good ratings and cheaper but looks smallish. I wonder how deep it is. I guess if you are mixing up small batches it would work good. I just got the one listed above from Danny and it does what it is supposed to do. 2.1 qt capacity.

Yes, the capacity is quite a bit smaller - the BlackHillsGold uc holds 600 ml/approximately 2 1/2 cups. The volume of the 2.1 qt/2L (8+ cups/2000 milliliter). The depth to the max fill line is only 1 1/2". It works find for small bottles/small batches and is great for cleaning other small items. The bonus for a small uc is the 30 minute timer - sure beats 3 minutes. If you are working with larger bottles/batches I think the larger size uc would be preferable. Just another option depending on your needs.

Agree. The 2.1 has a thirty minute timer as well. Just got an idea... what if you forgo the bottles and mix straight in the UC? AOL, that would be some good juice.

I have always wanted to do that. But ... since we use the UC for making liposomal Vitamin C ... my wife won't let me. She doesn't want our Vitamin C "tainted" with my e-liquid. No matter how well I clean out the UC and have explained what "parts per billion" really means. No dice.

But that said ... someday I'll have a 2nd UC and I'll give it a try. I assume I'll need an efficient turkey baster type deal to suck out all the juice from the UC tank but dayum ... I bet it'll cut lots of time off UC steeping by going direct.

So both the black hills gold and the iSonic P4810 are good/decent units? The Black Hills Gold has been proven? Looking at getting one of these soon. At the moment the smaller one would work but I may need something bigger down the road. Hopefully . I would search more through the thread, maybe tomorrow. Been along day, I should have already been in bed, wanna go flying in the morning.

Thanks WileE for pointing me to the thread.

Take pics. It would be epic. Might order a liter of nic tonight just to be the guy who did it. :vapor: :D

I just measured how much liquid it takes it hit the "min" line in the tank:

600mls.

Here's The Recipe:

150 ml of nic
210 ml PG
180 ml VG
12 ml flavor

I've got 12ml of 555 flavoring, 1/3 of a liter of 100mg nic I bought over a year ago, a half gallon of PG and a quart of VG ...
