This is the explanation for the dual UC's from a UC maker:

For the removal of coarse and tenacious contaminations and for pre-cleaning of robust surfaces such as stainless steel and cast iron we recommend cleaning at 25 kHz.

The most commonly used ultrasonic frequency range is 35-40 kHz for routine cleaning jobs and for cleaning jobs in the laboratory and sanitary sector.

For fine cleaning and for the cleaning of sensitive surfaces such as light metal alloys use an ultrasonic cleaner operating at 45 kHz.

Higher frequencies such as 130 kHz are used for fine cleaning jobs and for the cleaning of highly sensitive surfaces including micro electronics, printed circuit boards and precision optics.

The lower the frequency the larger the bubbles and more physical the waves become, this would be almost comparable to vigorously shaking the bottle on a vibration plate.

It is the high frequency that we desire for our e-juice because the high speed works on a more micro level that allows the waves to directly effect the juice inside the bottle with less affect on the bottle.

Understood. Thanks for the explanation.

Ah-HAH!

Now I Get It.

Though I still am going to need a new UC in the future. Making up a batch tonight and I can tell it's wheezing. Still would like to know more about the dual frequency UC.

It is a small Branson.
A few things I liked about Branson over the many others that I looked at:

1. Continuous on. Can put outlet timer to shut off after 4 hours
2. Sweep feature that prevents dead spots in the ultrasonic waves.
3. The dual frequency setting.

That's a very old recipe. I've since eliminated the sweetener and opted for .5% EM and eliminated the vape wizard so you actually did good. It will actually get better the longer it steeps. Glad you enjoy it.

I am so very grateful for this thread - at first I was like I gotta buy an UC and was freaking out trying to figure out which to buy and from where. But after all was said and tests were done (TY all) I already have a CP so I will use it whew at least 50-85 dollars saved. I am a new to DIYer. I want to do baccy flavors. Some straight and some with other flavors in them. I already knew they would need to steep a good long time, having read a lot of different threads. And I agree whatever works for each and everyone who is vaping is ok with me. I take flack for liking my KT Evods lol - hopefully everyone will simply live and let vape.:p:vapor:

I got sick of pulling out the CP or UC for small samples, so I put them in a ziploc bag and fill my thermos with 140° water and let it sit over night. I use the CP or UC for big batches now...:D

Sent from Ferrengal, on my HTC One

I've read of some using a glass cup with a cap or cover filled with hot water that they sat on a hot plate such as a coffee warmer or electric scented candle warmer.

Ok question, do you think I can use 30ml glass dropper bottles in a crockpot,as long as the water is to the top of the liquid in them?

I have, with no problem. Just make sure you check the individual bottle pressure - open and close the bottles periodically as the temp increases. This releases the buildup of outgassing pressures. Larger bottles require longer to reach temp. So, I shake them about every hour or so, as I open and close the tops. The CP water does not have to be at the top of the liquid in the bottle. About 80% seems good (for me) to keep the bottles from trying to float...

Ty so very much for your quick response, I live on a budget and figure it out before the next month. I have a wire trivet that I am going to set the bottles on - hope that helps. This forum and these great threads have taught this old gal lots, Many Thanks:toast:

My pleasure! This forum has some really good members offering a lot of great advice. By reading, reading, and then reading some more, one can acquire a lot of usable knowledge. Good luck, and welcome to my favorite hobby!

He said "candle warmer" --- not bond fire. :)

Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk

Bond fire is great for roasting marshmallows. I can just see it now everyone standing around the camp fire with there little bottles of juice tide to a stick:)

I do it all the time. Fill water to the bottom of the cap and don't let the bottles submerge and it works great.
