An oil based food flavoring should NEVER be used in vaping. Only water or alcohol based. Alcohol evaporates out. That is why the recommendation is to let your liquid breathe (cap off for about 24 hours) before using.

If the description states any kind of oil, do NOT buy it.

Actually, I'm not sure. You should probably get them from a vape distributor such as Bull City Vapors, or Wizard Labs. They have all the brands, and all are for vaping.

Hope that helps! :)
Dear Rose,
Thanks for your suggestion.
Placed order directly from their site, from the reviews I have confirmed about vape grade flav

In another thread there is written that not to steep more than 12 hrs as it might dilute flavor and nicotine strength !!!
what is your opinion about this ???

I've never made anything that needed more then 5 hours steep time by way of heat or vibration. If you naturally steep by passage of time that will take from 1 - 5 weeks.
Also mentioned was airing out a mix (Cap off for 24 hours) to get rid of unwanted alcohol and chemical taste and smell which is very different then steeping. I understand the confusion, it is actually a very common source of confusion in the DIY community. I would be happy to answer any of those questions for you. My blog on steeping will explain all of this.

The reply was really referring to the importance and dangers of not using oil based flavoring or flavorings with additives and preservatives such as those found on supermarket shelves. Please make sure you understand that because that could put your health at risk.

All of these considerations and processes should be written down if you are going to DIY. Actually, writing them down for each recipe is important. As each recipe has different flavors, steeping, airing, testing notes should stay with the recipe.

The links above, I have used them to read and reference. Some things I just copied and put on my desk top for faster access.

Anyway, take notes for each recipe.

very nicely put.

Here are some good reference resources.

My blogs will give insight into all aspects of DIY, from steeping to what supplies to have on hand to a basic walk through mixing your first E-juice.

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

Then read hoosier's blogs. These blogs concentrate on fine tuning your mix and give insight on additives.

Then read Boletus's blog's. These blogs concentrate on formulation of nicotine bases regarding proper calculations methods for figuring Nicotine concentration as well as safety.

Then read Ginger's book "E-Cigarettes 102: DIY E-Liquid". It is a book which I've contributed to that delivers an in depth easy to follow guide in the art of DYI.

I recommend viewing VPLive Vape Team Episode #82: DIY Safety and bookmark it for future reference. It explains safety in all aspects of DYI.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.
