(I think the website shut me down on a previous post, so I apologize if this is a double post)
Currently I run a ego VV with a Kanger Protank3 and I am thinking of stepping up and going to a:
innokin iTaste SVD
18650B battery
Maintaining my Kanger Protank3 for now. Later I will get into other tanks.

My main question is What settings should I put the Wattage and Voltage? My ego is set at 4.0 and Im getting some good vape, but I still think this is a good step up. Any suggestions?

The link below is what I am thinking of. Boxes look too clunky for me for some reason, granted you don't have to worry about them rolling off your desk and shattering your tank (happened once).

$38.09 Innokin iTaste SVD Variable Voltage/Wattage Mod / APV - telescopic / VV / VW at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I have seen some good reviews on this, and it is in my price range as well. I am looking for something with Variable Voltage that can be used as a hammer when needed :) Or at least wont complain much if it is dropped.

In the end it is just a battery. Some do a better job at keeping a certain power setting accurate till it dies than others.

I went to the vamo v3 from ego c twist batteries and it was ok once you get used to the size. But with the vamo and thinking the svd once the battery is half spent you notice the vape kinda starts to drop off a bit and not as good as with a fresh battery.

I purchased an itaste Mvp 2 and thought it was pretty good. It has a 2600 mah battery and you can use it as a power bank to charge other things in a pinch, but will only go up to 5 volts or 11 watts (which is fine for many users). I was surprised how much I actually liked the box form factor. Fits nicely in your hand and somewhat pocket friendly.

So after that I went for the cloupor dna30 box mod to give me a bit more range in what I could do and really happy with that. I still have all these devices minus the two ego batteries (bit the dust at about a year for each), and use them all. But I'm now a fan of the box mod form factor and will probably stay with this style for a while. My two cents. Good luck.

I don't know your budget or vaping requirements, so I'm guessing here

The SVD is a HUGE mod with several problems: unsealed 510 connector, poor contact with eGo clearos, bad button (suddenly stops working, saved mine just by chance). If there's any still around, get a Vamo V3 (NOT V5). Works much better and costs half that of the SVD. Don't buy the SVD from FT. Mine never worked too well. Better cough up the full 100 bucks and buy it from a reputable place.

I'm using the Innokin MVP more than anything in my arsenal. The box mod is a little uncomfortable for pockets, but the battery lasts A LOT (over a day long for me) and is beefy enough to feed any rebuildables you might have down the road (right now I have a full sized Terminator hooked to it) and the passthrough capability is great. In fact, I use it so much I have put all of my other stick mods (including the eVic on the photo) aside because this works so well.

Depends on your sweet spot, the liquid, the moment and the mod. I vape anywhere from 3.7 to 4.2, putting my Trident double coil 1.1 ohm build to its paces at 4.7W. It's taste dependent, sometimes it'll be too strong and sometimes too weak. Also it depends on the head, I've never been able to get a decent vape out of a Protank head, they all vape bad, no matter I put to 20W.

It all depends...

If you're attached to the size of your ego battery, check out the Innokin VV3.0
If you're looking for a device with no replaceable batteries & lasts longer between charges, check out the iTaste MVP 2.0
If you want a cheap tube style mod, check out the Vamo V5
If you want a high-end tube style mod, check out the ProVari.
If you want a device that'll last you a while (durability and as you proceed further), check out a Hana mod.

SVD isn't a bad choice, I personally wouldn't go with one over an MVP tho since the tank ring can be annoying (since you gotta use the extender which just looks bad imo) since it won't fit all attys... But that's all personal preference.

I switched about 2 months ago from MY EGO twists,Vision spinners, Smoketech's VV 1300mah batts to ... a Sigelei ZMAX v5,telescopic..... ANd I LOVE it!

Being a young-ish female I was at first mostly concerned about the SIZE of most mods (My husband laughing at one of our friends new mods, saying he" was carrying around a huge flashlight everywhere " didn't help either...) so I was looking towards the minis...But im so glad the salesguy at our B&M convinced to get the zmax TELESCOPIC, it allows me to have a discreet sized mini (using 18350 batteries) AND also leaves me the option of using long lasting 18650 batts when I feel I need it (Im not far from a chain-vaper).Fits nicely in the hand (I have small thin hands!) and ive gotten so used to it now I wonder how I managed without!!!You can really feel the difference power-wise,especially compared to 650 or 1100 mah ego's.(I still use mine on occasion when I go out and need to be a bit more discreet)

Whatever u ultimately choose im sure you'll love your first mod as much as I did/do....Good Luck :) !

I'm in agreement with most of the posts regarding a model of the VAMO. It's about in your price range, offers VV/VW, takes 18650s, etc...

Personally I'd try to stick with your current setup just a bit longer and go with a Provari. Out of the three mods I own (including a VAMO 2) it's my favorite, even though it's in need of both upgrade AND repair right now. I'm simply purchasing a new one next week.

I keep my VAMO for backup purposes. Another mod that no one really talks about is the Lavatube from Volcano. I believe they're about $70 USD?? I purchased a Lavatube v2 on a whim of curiosity, and I'm actually quite glad I did. I've been using it as my go-to mod since my Provari died and have no complaints with it. The first generation Lavatube wasn't a very good device from what I've been told.
