Did you guys use his revised recipe?

Yes. I did have to wait a few days for the Capella flavors to come in, but I had the TFA flavors and followed the recipe exactly, or at least I think I did. Here's the exact recipe I used, just in case it's different:

Good luck and happy vaping!

Calculating drops is inaccurate no matter what. Different flavors and dropper sizes will yield different results every time. Always mix by percentages and measure using the smallest size syringe/graduated cylinder suitable for the job. Drops mean nothing unless you have accurately standardized the measurements.

Drops per ml defaults to 20, you can change it if you like, I don't bother. I have a 3 ml sample of an alcohol based flavor, it takes 8 drops from it's dripper top to make 1/10th of a ml, so I'm guessing for that viscosity, at that room temperature, with the bottle tilted at that angle, and that particular bottle I can assume 80 drops per ml. I will never have all those variables again, so that's a meaningless figure to me. I can always measure 1/10th of a ml using a syringe. Just my opinion. . .

I mixed this up this morning. Warm bath, shook it good, and it has been sitting with the cap off for about 10 hours now. It smells strongly of the egg nog flavoring. Is this normal? I haven't vaped any of it yet, because my dripper setup hasn't arrived yet, and I don't wanna waste a bunch in a pro tank if it isn't ready. I also figure if I drip it, I have a more accurate knowledge of amounts if I have to adjust it. BTW, I used 1ml syringes, not drops.

I've been vaping on my 30ml batch that I whipped up about 6 weeks ago.
It's yummy, but I think I need to drop the sweetener a little lower.
I did my sweetener at 2%.
May drop it to 1% and see how that comes out. I can always add if needed.
This recipe does mellow out after some time.
When first mixed, the sweetener was not overpowering, but as the mix steeped, the flavor mellowed/subsided a bit, but the sweetener didn't. So now the flavor is hiding behind the sweetener.
I used TFA Sucralose sweetener.
I also did a batch without sucralose, but instead used 4% EM, which was pretty good, but all that EM hides a little bit of the background notes.

Good luck and happy Vaping!

I'm a bit confused on this. you said you followed the recipe exactly but I see 3.5% of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream in yours. Forgive me if I'm mis-quoting you here as my head is still spinning reading all these threads!

I followed the recipe as closely as I could with what I had on hand and showed the differences in the recipe above. Pretty good stuff after steeping, but I think it's too strong and off just a bit. Not sure what it is. Still waiting for the DIY Gods to bless us with the "correct" recipe. Good luck. YMMV.

I'm close to giving up on making a good Vanilla Custard. I've tried dozens of recipes and steeped them for up to 5 weeks but nothing tastes like the better "store bought" brands I've tried. I just ordered the flavors for this recipe that I was missing so I'll give it one more try! I've got over 200ml of various VC recipes steeping away. While some are ok, none are what I'm shooting for.

Finally got all the ingredients here... Followed the recipe to the "T" using a gram scale...made 10mls for now at around 60/40
It's in a hot bath right now for a few hours, and will sit overnight before I burp it..I'm sure this will be just what the Doctor ordered!
Thanks for this Vego..

may just try a bit of Bill's VBIC in there on one of the batch's
