Man, been vaping for a couple of months... ego-c to provari with carto tanks and just ordered a couple of RDA's. You people are making me scared of my decision lol. I just wanted something easy to try flavors with that didn't require a super cleaning in between :p

EDIT: BTW, got tired of leaky, low volume ego-c atomizer systems for work, so I grabbed an EVOD off fasttech.... WHY DODN'T ANYONE TELL ME TO BUY THIS FROM THE GET GO!!! So much better and easier to deal with than an ego!!!!

Rba's are not hassle free, quite the contrary. They require careful attention and study of safety. That being said, when you have the knowledge and perfected your skills... They are easy. but that process can be extremely frustrating.

oh and for the record, even though that stuff got deleted from the thread (as well it should have)...

i like steam turbine's thread titles. they are just troll-y enough to get bites, but they almost always seem to be relevant, spot on, and thoughtful. so often i look at the title and think, 'hey that's a rather pr*ckish thing to say', but then look at the thread starter, and read what steam has to say. i'm very seldom disappointed...

so thanks, steam turbine, for keeping this community thinking... :toast:

It's easy to give Steam Turbine a hard time, but I get him. Even when I don't agree with his POV on a given topic, he provokes thought. How could that be a bad thing on a forum? Isn't that what it's all about, sharing ideas and discussing them.

I can't tell you how many times me and Pops have tried to wear someone down, trying to convince them they NEED a meter when they started a thread with "I'm rebuilding (insert thing here) and I'm using an eGo Twist. Everything seems ok but it ain't working. Do I really need a meter?" 12 or more posts later they are still convinced they can just keep whacking at it - it still ain't workin' - and don't need a meter. Five bucks, for even the most basic cheapo meter, and you still get an argument about it.

One can try to educate, but stupid will always be as stupid is going to do. Stickies can and do contain useful information, but short of making "read these" stickies mandatory before someone can even make their very first post... stickies can't fix everything. But Darwin can. (lol - sorta) My only hope for certain total neophytes, jumping right onto RDA's and combining them soooo wrong with the wrong PV and wrong batteries is they have a very short attention span, and will give up on the whole vaping thing the first time they 'almost' hurt themselves.

IMR is much safer in terms of venting and blowups, but who wants a battery that can reach 235 degrees F in your pocket when the already low ohm coil drops closer to 0? Li-Ion will put you in the hospital. IMR will probably only burn your pants pocket and leave a huge blister on your leg. Still, sticking to safer resistance levels makes more sense to me. .7 ohm vs dead short? It still overheats most batteries.
