I am sorry guys...but i have to say this. Please don't be offended. I'm not a USA citizen and probably should not say this (i would say it loudly if the same happened in my country), but:

I cannot comprehend that a country will ban these life savers and keep letting people buy an M60 at a local shop! I am sorry but it does not make any sense (and im not talking about cigarettes because THEY all know it's effects)!

I bet there will be a LOT more fatalities in one year by misusing a gun or leaving it unprotected than in a 50 year period of vaping. Money talks louder than anything else.

No offense, I know what you meant, but the last I knew of the M60 in this country was a machine gun. I can't buy it in ANY shop ANYWHERE in this country - at least not legally.

Hey now, we like our guns too! :p

.....you're probably right though....

But money talks, and lobbyists from multi-billion dollar industries have alot more money than voters and tax payers.

ShaneC - the guy without guns, who thinks the NRA is too soft....and tells them....every time they call......

You can't buy an M60 here!! You're playing too much call of duty man!
I live in NY, I can buy a rifle or a shotgun... thats it. Damn near impossible to get a pistol permit.

That was an example (and yes the M60 is the Rambo gun). I used it and it came to mind. And in 2006 it was sold in many armorers in USA. I will not post a link for obvious reasons.

Anyway...on topic: i do not believe the ban will have any future. No..it can't be!

Sorry...let's make that 7,62 NATO semi auto rifle...you can buy that online in USA. You got my point :)

That and a 50 caliber...yes....online!

Also..as if you change the magazine of an m16...it is legal in California. It just makes it harder to pop the magazine. The gun is the same....under a different name.

Link me to any credible news story of a drug dealer armed with an M60 in the US please.
I don't know what an M60 is, but I assume it is a pretty nasty.

I just think that drug dealers are going to get what they want or feel they need.
And the rest of us will just get shot when our time comes.

I have a Mossberg shotgun, and I still hope no drug dealers bust into my house.

Now your average criminal on the other hand?
He may not make it up my staircase.

The weapon looks the same but is not the same. Fully automatic weapons are not readily available in the US, period. SKS's are reported in the media as AK-47's because they look the same. But they are NOT the same. Ditto AR-15's but usually the AK mis-identified from my experience - it makes for great dramatic effect in media reports. Whatever. We are widely diverging from discussion of e-cigs and most especially the new users' forum so I'll end my part of it.

And in 2006 as now you cannot obtain one without an impossibly difficult to obtain ATF license. No one's running around on the streets over here with M60's slung under their arms.

Actually the licence for full auto and silencers, is not that difficult to obtain, but it can take 5-6 months to complete.

As an SKS owner myself I can say, it is different than an AK. The way I look at it (not with the SKS, that's just for fun) criminals will carry whatever gun they can get hold of, why should I not legally own a gun? There is a whole long list of studies n all aspects of it. I do fully excersize my right to bear arms. I live in a state that just made it legal to carry a concealed weapon without a permit.

We should also excersize the right to arm bears - that'd show those hunters!

Btw I enjoyed your first post Uncle J - and I agree with you. I'm a law abiding person, a parent, but if 'they' turn me into a criminal beacucse I don't want to die? I guess I'll be on the other side of the law. Stupid people should not be allowed to make laws should they?

I could prove you that you can buy an M60 or other 50 cal weapon in the US. But i won't. If you want links i can give you a TON of those. I can actually show you an M60 being sold in a weapons LEGAL sale.

But you are right. Let us stay on topic. If e-cigs get banned in USA i just wish any American citizen could buy them in the open as they buy war guns. Even if they have to cross their state line...

And yes...modified M16 and Ak's are not that dangerous...till you try one!
