I didn't find any tobacco flavors to be that decent.....

Two juices I really enjoyed as an all day vape were menthol moondrops (and I smoked regular not menthol). And a bit called fire and ice.

Juices are a very subjective subject. Sort of like going to a Chinese resturant with friends, the odds are no one in a party of 5 or 6 is going to order the same thing.

My starter kit came with 18mg (I smoked about 23 or 24 cigarettes per day) and got me through the first week, however, when detox started to set in I moved up to 24mg. It worked wonderfully well. Now starting week five, I'm back down to 18. I'd recommend you have both 18 and 24 so you'll not get discouraged.

Tastes do vary, however, if that cigarette after dinner time is really important, I recommend you start with some type of tobacco flavor. It won't be like your brand of smokes, but you can add something as simple as a chocolate flavor e-juice to it and the tobacco flavor will come through in a pleasant way (for most as I've read these threads and experienced for myself).

Welcome to the vaping community and ECF . . . you've given yourself a great gift!!

Thanks so much everyone, I really appreciate the input. I will get 18 and 24 and a few flavors and take it from there.

I will check back in a week or so and let you know my decision and thoughts.

Hopefully not so Overwhelmed

Congrats on taking the plunge! 18 and 24 is a good starting point. I use the VOLT and after trying a million juices from a thousand vendors, Smokeless Image's RY4 is my all day vape.

I also like their classic grape and ice menthol. Smokeless Image has sampler pack cartos which is a good way to try all their flavours without breaking the bank. If you like a particular flavour you can order a bottle of it to fill your own blanks (or top up the pre-filled cartos). Filling cartos is way easier than you might think and ends up being so much cheaper in the long run.

Good luck with everything, and don't second, third, or fourth guess your order too much - just place an order! Jump in and start vaping! Once you're vaping you'll be able to have a better idea of what you need/what kind of juices you like etc.

And don't you dare wait a whole week to report back on your progress! We want to know your thoughts as soon as you take that first puff!!

Cheers and happy vaping!:toast:

Welcome to the ECF Overwhelmed :)
There's a ton of stuff to learn but you're on the right track.
Don't be discouraged if you have a setback (or 2) while you sort out what your body needs.
Once you get the right setup and juices you'll be on your way.
At one point all of us were where you are right now so don't be shy with any questions
Best of luck to you :)

Your words help me too! Thank you!

Just as vaping is a very personal prog so is your choice of flavors. I HATED menthol but Vets told me new vapers enjoy menthol in their juice and they were absolutely right. You can find your fave juice and buy menthol drops separately- gives a nice mellow taste and a mallow "kick". My fave juices are Tobacco- RY4, TA, Black Perique and DKTab. Tough enuff to reaserch a PV but even tougher to find a juice IMHO.

I agree that it is tough to be not only picking out a pv but also trying to find a juice you like to help keep off the cigarettes! Us newbies will persevere though through the rough part! I smoke full flavor Pyramid 100's and have never been a menthol smoker but it occurred to me to also buy some menthol tobacco juices because it might give me the feeling of a greater throat hit because of the coolness and intensity of menthol.

"It won't be like your brand of smokes, but you can add something as simple as a chocolate flavor e-juice to it and the tobacco flavor will come through in a pleasant way" That sounds DELICIOUS!!! Must try that!!! How do you do that? Just fill your carto with some tobacco flavor and then chocolate flavor? Layering it as you fill your cartomizer?

Actually for a good strong flavor in lue of a tabacoo flavor I might suggest a coffee flavor. A strong coffee flavor. To me it was the closest flavor I could find that was 'satisfying' in the way an analog was. Maybe it was just the psychological link between the morning coffee and cigarette.

Everyone is a bt different. I enjoy the flavor experimenting but when I get to jones for an analog I usually reach for a coffee flavor.

I was just thinking that maybe I should try a good coffee flavor for that satisfying feeling!!! Now it's confirmed! :)

I bought a few small empty drip-tip bottles to play around with flavors. I have my standard "must have" tobacco menthol and add a little mint chocolate chip to about 3/4 of a bottle of my standard until I get the cocoa taste coming thru smooth. I think the mint part in my flavor add-in keeps from loosing the menthol. When my taste-buds were working well, it was really nice for an evening vape. Can't wait until they straighten themselves back out again!

Thank you for telling me about using empty drip-tip bottles to mix flavors! I have some too!!! Maybe next month when I need juice again I'll do some fun experimenting!! Can you tell me who you get your menthol tobacco & mint chocolate chip juices from? That sounds so good!!! :) I hope your taste-buds straighten themselves out soon!

*lol* some of the coffee flavors are STRONG.... and I like "navy coffee" which is basically as thick as tar and you can smell it from a few blocks away.

At least for me it tastes better than a lot of 'cigarette' flavors..... Think it might be cause of the strong dark roasted flavor gives it a 'smokey' (for lack of a better word) feel. I know from messing around with coffee DIY flavors it is very easy to have it overpower other flavors you mix in with it.

So far I haven't ventured out into the world of multiple suppliers very much so I still use "smokeanywhereforpennys" for all my flavors. Her Dor-al Menthol Light is so very close to my old habit of Doral Mentol Light that I was amazed in the transition! I do want to start trying a few more as recommended here, but it's hard when I know my late night order will ship the next morning and be in my mailbox the second afternoon.

I'm spoiled . . . :2cool:

Hard to say what you should start with .... I have both 18mg and 24mg and definately notice I vape a little less and feel less cravings with the 24mg. BUT I have vaped a bit too much and got a little ill feeling off it... nothing real bad, just kinda felt "green". But that was when I wasnt paying attention and chain vaped for like 3 hours in front of my PC. I just quit analogs last week and was a 1.5 PAD smoker.

I would say start with the 24 mg, and if you feel thats too much then get some 18mg and dilute the 24 mg with it so you dont feel like you wasted it.
