At 61 I am still tempted by girls. But I ignore it & it goes away.........for a while LOL. I asked my 85 yo Dad this q & he said "no" it never goes away. But as a happily married man I do as I always did.......I ignore it. Same with cigs. The desire of something we love/loved never goes away completely. Just saying.

I was feeling that way last night a little and today a bit. I don't get any temptation after I vape a bit though. e-liquid taste and even the device is very important. I've got a vision spinner with some big vivi nova tanks and if I use that constantly even though there is a huge vape to it I seem to get tempted by analogs. When I use my little volt analog look alikes it seems to help with those temptations psychologically for whatever reason.

Guess I just neede to know if other folks have the same occasional struggle. Glad to know I'm not alone.

I keep my Twist tethered to me. The back up is always close by. For me, the cravings are more mental than physical.

I like to think that I'm mentally stronger than the impulse...even if I have to verbally reinforce myself in my resolve. Ain't no shame in my game.

...

For the first time in a long time I actually thought about going back to analogs. Im not going to give up, but wonder if anyone else has this struggle sometimes....

It does go away. But it can take a Long Time.

The key to never smoking another cigarette again is to NEVER think that you can just have One.

Fortunately the craving went away, but I couldn't help but feel bad.
i have tried numerous times to give up, not with ecigs but IMO you will feel bad if you have a ..., not only that you will feel sick/dizzy lightheaded and WISH you just had a pull on your ecig :)
dont do it. i doubt you will be satisfied with an analog after a few months

The cravings have not gone away completely for me after 5 months. I haven't succumbed to them...but they are there none the less. Problem is, I love tobacco. I love the taste and I love the smell. When I pass a smoker, I linger just to get some...even if it's second hand.

My cure is some really good tobacco juice from HHV. That's the only juice I have found that actually tastes like tobacco. It's too much for all day everyday...but it's great to knock out some of those cravings. I load it up at a little higher nic than normal and vape it for an hour or so. This only happens about once a week, but it works for me.

iam sure we have all heard ex smokers say the desire for a cigarette never leaves an ex smoker, some older friends who used to smoke cigarettes have a cigar at times like when on holiday or socializing with friends.
i found "just one ..." is fatal because straight after that one you dont feel content so you chain smoke another...........

On occasion I have the same feeling. However, I have found that it's your body craving nicotine. I pop in my PV and all of a sudden the urge for a tobacco smoke is gone. Considering our bodies associate the craving with a tobacco product, that's what you're craving. If you have been vaping for anything longer than a few weeks, if you try a Tobacco cigarette, odds are you'll probably hate the taste. At least that's my experience.

Sometimes I get a small urge to light up (my favorite part about smoking) but then it goes away. I think the only way I'll go back to analogs is if they ban e-cigs. I keep reminding myself how much more free I feel. It was always troublesome to worry about where to smoke, if I smell like smoke, major illnesses caused by smoking and all the negative things that is tied with smoking analogs. I just keep reminding myself all the pros about quitting smoking to try to get over that urge. "Keep your mind on the things you want, and off the things you don't want. Attitude." ~Bruce Lee

I think the government will have a fight on their hands if they start moving forward on an e-cigarette ban. BLU (Ligget & Meyers) just put a boatload of cash into television advertising and marketing.

I was a pack and a half a day smoker for 17 years. I quit three times before. Two times with the patch, one time cold turkey. The first time was for 6 months, the second was for 4 years (to go through infertility treatments, while I was pregnant, and while I was nursing) and the third time, last year, was for about 9 months. The patch help A LOT while I was in the process of quitting, but I had true cravings for months. I can honestly say that this time using ecigs has made a night and day difference. I've had THREE serious cravings. That's it. All three times I took long, deep breaths and picked up my ecig as soon as I could. It really has worked for me. My mom keeps asking when I'm going to quit using my ecig. I tell her that eventually I plan on quitting, but that I'm not remotely worried about doing it in the near future. I choose to focus on the fact that I've kicked a filthy habit, and that this is much cleaner and healthier for my entire family. One step at a time. Good luck. Keep trying. One day, you'll notice that it's been a long time since you had a craving. You'll feel relieved and very proud of yourself.

After suffering a non smoking related triple stroke (Accident during minor surgery) at the age of 40, you might think that it would have been incentive enough to stay away from cigs. But after being a 40 a day smoker for nearly 30 years, it was a struggle. I finally gave up the cigs after trying all of the doctor recommended therapies, by turning to E-cigs. Im coming up to 5 months "clean" but still regularly get a craving :-/ Nothing i havent managed to resist so far, but having a partner that still smokes is both a blessing and a curse. It's difficult to resist something that is so openly on offer, but then when i see her coming back in the house ( My house, MY rules ! ) so obviously freezing cold or wet, and the cloying stink of tobacco following a few paces behind, it kinda gives me a wry smirk that ive kicked the habit, hopefully for life :)
Everytime i think i might be close to wavering, i stick some 24mg tobacco flavoured liquid in a tank, and i get the taste, withought the stink :D

I've been off the stinkies for close to 3 months and i probably get the craving once a week. I just tell myself that i'll have one tomorrow if i still feel like it. When tomorrow comes the craving has gone. Although i love vaping the only way i can manage without tobacco is to tell myself that i could smoke if i wanted to, i just choose not to. Probably not the best advice but it works for me.

You had the craving but you didn't cave! That's something to be proud of! I haven't had a cigarette since Thanksgiving day.. Once in a while I think about it too but I've come to far ... I've had a Provari mini for 3 days now and the excellent vapor production and greater throat hit is better than any analog IMO keep at it don't give up ... When you find your perfect vape you will no longer crave! Gl and happy vaping from Las Vegas!
