I don't think vaping is going anywhere, but our society might be.

When "Bing" and "google" give such vastly different results and you realize politics has actually taken over the internet which I used to LOVE for its free exchange of information.... I know that day is long gone, but I'm just finding things so sketchy/divisive I worry a lot.

With that said, I am a chronic worrywart. We've gotten a few weird calls and some from "restricted" numbers, well, I knew they were probably scams/telemarketing, but I just texted the kid to make sure I hadn't missed his "I'm calling from jail, Mom," call. He's totally fine (and was sweet enough to text me back immediately LOL).

I started vaping as a means to stop smoking. I always loved smoking and the taste of the tobacco leaf. Early into my vaping journey I discovered I like the natural taste of tobacco in a vape form more than I used to like it in the cigarette form. That makes me doubly glad that I eventually replaced the habit with something better. To me vaping isn't a habit as smoking used to be. I see/feel vaping as a newly discovered hobby...:D
I really can't see myself stopping vaping ever...unless something unforseen comes my way ofcourse. I'm a natural smoker...what more can I say :p
Couldn't agree more. I love the taste of tobacco and the tobacco liquids I have found taste far better than any cigarette. I know because I still smoke a little. I too started vaping to reduce/quit smoking back in August after close to 50 years of 20-30 per day. It is working. I have had 3 cigarettes in the last five days.

While I do intend to gradually cut down the nic level of the juices I vape and have already moved from 24mg to 18mg, I can't imagine ever quitting vaping.

Keep up the good work those who are still in the transition period out of analogs! I havnt had a cig since Nov 15, 2013 thanks to vaping and started the journey back in 2011. I dont have urges to smoke again, but my wife continues to smoke cigs. For me, if I cant have my puffer(what my wife calls it) while shes having her ciggie, I would not have made it longer than a couple of hours. It is easier now to not smoke, but if I were to get rid of my vapes, I feel I would be beyond tempted to have a cigarette with her. For me, for now, its vape on even with the knowledge that vaping is unhealthy at higher temps. That just prompts me to keep my coils dry burnt clean and freshen up the wicks when needed. Not too shabby, since there is no way to make cigarettes more healthy.

Suggestion...sticky (infused with wta) from umbavape might help. It tastes good and the wta does its work for me.

I only vape WTA and NET. That's it. I have set myself monthly reduction goals since I started, complete with writing down the time of every cigarette I smoke. The goal this month was to have some smoke free days among the 1 or 2 cigarette days. That began happening on Jan. 13 which was my first smoke free day since I was 18 [I am 65]. I won't smoke today, and I didn't smoke yesterday. Tomorrow? Who knows? But if I start telling myself I am quitting, panic ensues.

I bought a pack of American Spirits on Jan. 6. There are seven left in the pack.

What can I say? I am a real head case :)

Every one you DON'T smoke is a good thing, you'll get there without even trying. Good Luck. :thumb:

That's exactly how I see it, and what I do. I don't trust high temps on coils.

I agree about the panic. I never actually *quit* smoking. I just decided to see how long I can go before the next cigarette.

It'll be 7 years on Feb.27th!

Don’t sell yourself short. You smoked for almost FIFTY YEARS!

An odd smoke isn’t good for you, but if vaping keeps you from smoking substantially less than before, you are doing well IMO.:thumb:

Was a heavy cig smoker for decades - vaping for I think 6+ years. I have no plans to quit BUT I think I could do it - I just do not want to. I use low nic and very happy. I've posted elsewhere how I can leave my vape if I go out to the store and be fine --unlike analogs when I was a crazy person if I did not have one for any length of time. So no plans to quit at this time. But I could --- if I wanted to.

02/27/18 is my four year vaperversary, which ironically is my mother's birthday. It just happened that way. I've been going at it on and off, and the amount of cigarettes since I can count on my fingers. 7, if memory serves, and that was only when I've been really desperate.

I don't plan on quitting vaping any time soon. Things keep evolving and getting easier. I remember the days of the evod, my mvp2, my vamo 5, a whole slew of mechanical mods and unregulated boxes, my short lived innokin 134, my xcube, vaporesso target mini, smok alien, and now my sigelei kaos. It's been a lot of equipment and a lot of money spent, but all worth it. Tanks are getting easier, and while I used to build coils in the past, I'm over it and just want something easy that works like my new aspire cleito exo. Gone are the days of the nautilus which I have terrible memories of, leaking evods, and rdas leaking in my pockets.
Now, pods seem to be a whole lot of fun, and my suorin drop is pretty cool despite the occasional burnt hit.
I'm glad to be a part of this community even though I don't post much. It's totally worth it. I'm glad vaping is a thing. It's my stress relief. I'd be in a terrible place if it didn't exist. Whatever small shred is left of my sanity, I owe it to vaping.

This is so true for me too...I'm amazed how I can go without a vape for so long and so easily. Perhaps its the way the nicotine is still in my system? I can't seem to explain that lack of desperation.

In my case, I think it is a combination of way less nicotine plus less of whatever other addictive junk was in analogs. Has to be. I smoked up to 2.5 packs of analogs - the Red M's - per day. I had actually switched to the 100's because I could have smoked 3+ packs easily of the kings. Almost always had a cig in hand/mouth. If I didn't I was thinking of one or planning to have one. Literally had one in my mouth as soon as I opened my eyes. Smoked since I was a pre-teen and it went on for decades. Thanks to vaping I quit, and like you I can easily go without a vape. Just today, I was out for most of the day, came home and when I went to get my vape I could not find it...lol. It was in car. I had gone for almost 2 hours before realizing I did not have it. I was busy and did not even think about it. Besides health reasons - that had been a huge benefit for me personally and professionally.

I'm going to Japan in November for a week and a half. I'm grateful that I've noticed the same thing as I most certainly would not be bringing my vape around. Maybe my suorin drop if I'm still using it by then because it's much easier to stealth but I don't think I would use it very much. I certainly don't want to come off as disrespectful. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to go without a vape though because I'll be visiting the very places I'm the happiest. ❤️
