Yep It's not that hard if you really want off the nasty cigarettes. I gave them up 4 months ago and only smoked 2 cigarettes the first month. I had help from a local e-cig store that told me where I needed to be on my nicotine level. You will have to be honest about what you are smoking and how much. It will be a little difficult at first but nothing like giving up cold turkey. The nicotine will be a little slower reacting at first so when you get up hit your e-cig hard then back down as your day goes onGood luck and welcome to vaping your world is about to get much better. Just so nyou know I started out at 12% nicotine and now down to 4% nicotine. Do a lot of trials on different e-juice and find what you like. A lot of shops have juice bars where you can try different flavors.

I just quit smoking. Haven't touched a cigarette since I started vaping. I started with some pretty crappy equipment, and almost went back to smoking. I was on my way to the convenience store to buy yet another EGO style set up when I spotted a vape shop. I walked out of there with my VMAX and an IClear 30 loaded with apple flavored juice. I never looked back.

Curious to know, have people been able to completely transition to e-cigarettes or are there some of you that still do smoke cigarettes?

39 days for me. But I did smoke also when I first started vaping. From 10 packs every 8-9 days down to one pack a week for about 2 weeks then to about 10 +/- cigs every week to just a few, Bummed, to my last cig that didn't taste all that good and the question to myself of "Why the F am I still smoking".

Right now I do not miss it at all. Even when there are people around me that are smoking I have no desire to ask for one or accept one if offered.

But I must say that every now and then my brain will go into "I think I'll have a smoke" mode. Luckily it is a Fleeting Thought and I go to the atomizer.

I tried ecigs last March and I ended up smoking again after a few weeks. However this time I was truly ready to quit the cigarettes. I smoked a couple a day the first week and then quit and have been solely vaping for 5 months. I had cravings but nothing like quitting cold turkey. The craving are less and less and don't bother me anymore. My breathing has improved a lot! Switching to vaping is the best thing I could ever have done for myself.

I smoked for 35 years. I haven't smoked anything at all for more than two years. I attribute that success to finding a system that allows me to vaporize nicotine in variable amounts to quit smoking at my pace. The key to smoking cessation for me was finding a system that delivered whatever nicotine level I wanted with as little effort and maintenance as possible. I don't want vaping to become a friggin' hobby. I have enough hobbies including music and restoring classic wooden boats. Blowing clouds wasn't a solution or an attractive hobby option for me. I settled on less than 10W VV/VW and a carto tank that I only needed to attend to once a day for refilling. I regard hobby vaping like I regard collecting Jim Beam bottles and Elvis memorabilia... looks great in the double-wide window sill but not worth a dime on eBay.

I quit smoking on an eGo type 3.7V device. It had replaceable batteries, though. VV/VW and a carto tank was an upgrade that I treated myself to after I went a year without smoking. I see no need for further upgrades. Right now I'm just gradually reducing the nicotine content of my e-liquid. I have no plans to blow clouds or wind coils in my future. I have better things to use up my time.

I was a 1PAD smoker for 38 years. I just started vaping at the beginning of last month. When I bought my starter kit I had 3 full packs of analogs left. I smoked them here and there but not at the pace I did when I wasn't vaping. It ended up taking me around 2 weeks to finish those nasty things off. By the time I got to the last pack I noticed I wasn't really inhaling them much at all and man did they ever taste like crap! I smoked my last one after lunch on May 20th and haven't had one since. I have no plans to ever have another one either.

That, in my VERY VERY Totally Honest opinion, is the key to quitting cigarettes and switching to vaping only.

Without the Desire to get OFF cigarette completely more than likely you will go back to smoking or continue to smoke longer, if not forever, when starting to vape.

Tried cig-a-likes maybe 2 years ago. That lasted 4 days and I was back on the ciggies.

But haven't things changed?? Got a cheapo ego/ce4 with some juice from a local shop. It was miles better, but I was still struggling.

Then I found ECF and a few other forums. Lurked for a few weeks and did the research for myself. From what I learned I splashed out on a couple of vision spinners with an assortment of tanks and juices. I've been smoke free since April 6th, with NO desire to go back!!

I wanted, really wanted to quit.
And I did quit smoking more than 5 years ago in spite of what was available at that time:

Today it would be easy peasy.

I wholeheartedly agree with this.

I have completely smoke free for over 1 year. I started with a eGo set, and after a couple of months i bought my first vamo V2 (brass) and my first RBA Nautilus.
Since than, I never smoked and I never felt the need to taste a cigarette. A lot of people arround me are smokers, do not bothers me, not at all.
Anyway, I will never go back :)

I hope to quit vaping too, but.... who knows when.

Best regards!

PS i was smoking 35 years. American tobacco :)
