I finally got a setup I'm fairly happy with, just needs a few tweaks next time. 9 wraps of 28ga kanthal around a rivet that I think is a bit less than 1/8". 0.7 ohms. I'll add another wrap or 2 next time and shoot for 0.8 - 0.9, as I built this for my Dingo (350 only).

With both sets of airholes wide open, I'm getting *surprisingly* good vapor production, and OK flavor. I've been vaping with 1.5 of the 3 holes showing, and am getting *almost* as much vapor, and very good flavor. So far, it's the sweet spot.

I don't usually build vertical coils, but it seems to work better for the Storm, especially considering how high off the deck the airholes are.

Overall, a great atty for less than $30, with a fit and finish far beyond what I expected. I drilled the single hole to 7/32", which seems to be a good compromise for flavor/vapor as you can block part of it off, but it seems to me that this atty is really best enjoyed with dual coils.

Mitey F - did you already try horizontal coils? Is that what wasn't working for you?
I built vertical coils on my Origen V1 clone and then tried horizontal coils - which seemed to be more flavorful...
So I set up horizontal coils on the Storm A and haven't changed em since I got it.
What drip tip are you using? You may want to try different drip tips to see how it affects flavor.

power - I was using horizontal coils, but vertical coils allow for shorter legs, which I'm always a fan of. Perhaps I'll try the same 9 wrap build with horizontal coils, and let the longer legs give me the added resistance I need to get back into the "safe" zone for my 350's. I have indeed tried different drip tips, and have settled on one that seems to give me the best flavor (it STILL surprises me how much the flavor changes with different drip tips)

So my Storm-A arrived from venerable vaping yesterday along with some juice I figured I'd try.

Wow, what a really nicely made atty for the price. My top cap is a little looser than I would like. I might need to find Slightly thicker O-rings or maybe some floss under the existing ones.

Set it up with dual horizontal coils and it's a little low for me at 0.5 ohm. It has loads of vapor but the flavor is a little off. I rewicked it twice trying different lengths of cotton. I haven't found my perfect setup yet but close enough that I'm not frustrated to try again.

I really like this atty. It's better quality than many of my cloned devices.

Highly recommended.

Chipotle.
I'm a dual coil junkie, and I like to run twisted 26ga duals most of the time so I always have to drill out most RDA's to accept two strands of twisted 26ga, this looks like it is 100% large wire friendly and I would have no issues putting dual twisted 26ga in it. This has definitely made my "to buy" list, especially at the price.

The negative screws aren't huge. I wonder how easy they will trap twisted 26awg. It's got plenty of air in stock configuration for dual coils so no need to drill. I love this little atty.

After receiving the trident and helios atttys from FT and seeing the lack of quality they deliver and seeing what you can get for reasonably short dollars (ie this storm-a) I am done purchasing and waiting for fasttech drippers.

Tonight I am coiling this bad boy for single coil use. I wonder if the single airhole is going to need a little widening. I guess I'll find out shortly. :vapor:

I cut mine out to 7/32". It works out fine, as you can always use the airflow adjustment ring to cut it off a bit if you need.

Just got mine in. It only shipped with 1 screw but I had extras. Even wide open, it produces really good flavor. The small chamber produces a nice, warm vape. The build quality is solid. The o-rings are fairly loose. Not too bad though. I'd pocket it. Really good value RDA IMO.

My O-rings are way too loose currently to Pocket. My storm-a needs a little quality time with me. I've been neglectful. I really want to try a single coil. Double coil knocks me right outta my shoes onto the floor!

My rings on the inner cap are much tighter. Might be worth trying to swap them. It's in the other room and I'm too lazy to go see if they're the same size.

nice, this is how I setup my Origen clone and it produces huge amounts of vapor and flavor. might just get me a Storm A too :)
