Bad,
You should also warn us that one Provari can be lonely thing. Mine keeps whispering to me saying it wants a companion. I'm trying to resist but I keep hearing 'I'd really like some company' and 'remember, you always need a backup on your backup' or 'the red is sooo pretty!' I haven't found a way to make it stop!

After 4 days of owning a V2, I noticed the heartbreaking lonliness of the poor thing, therefore, being the kind soul that I am, I ordered a liittle playmate for it this morning. I know they'll enjoy each others' company - doesn't that just make you feel all warm & fuzzy?

Mine said to remove those ridiculous lesser things from it's stand that it rests in (only when the Lion sleeps). Now, it gets to take a break regularly, cause my silver has a black to keep watch in the night.

Soon, there will be a red mini. Then my ProVari collection will be complete....I hope.

BUT, my ProVari did lead me to RBAs which necessitated me getting a mechanical mod for pulsing coils, which is the one thing ProVaris are lousy at, since the ProVari sees repeated pulses to the coil as attempts to enter the menu. It's fine with me, I needed something to do with my flat top batteries anyway...

You guys are killing me! I tried to cover my mini's eyes so it couldn't read this thread, but it is all knowing. Now it's saying "See! That's what I'm talking about!" I'm doomed.

Oh no, no. Don't think doom, only armegeddon & besides that, it's so cute. Placed the order this morning & I've already received shipped notice.
BTW - did you ever consider the much dreaded "out of stock"? That should be enough to make anyone pull the trigger...;)

LOL moishesmom! At this point, out of stock would be good. I could tell mini that her companion is on vacation! More seriously, I was hoping to wait a month before ordering another one (and I'm half way there). Then I could rationalize getting a companion one since the first one would have been paid for by a month of not smoking and I deserve a reward for that! Of course I'm conveniently ignoring all the other toys & juice I bought. I don't think my Provari is going to be lonely for too long. :toast:

Whitelights - You're making way too much sense for me. I wasn't going to order the mini till the end of next week, however, insomnia forces weird thoughts into your sleep deprived mind. All I could think of was out of stock, the US dollar in total collapse, etc., etc. The best thought was - what's the diff if you pay for it this billing cycle or next, that's the one that forced the"order" finger to work. Made perfect sense to me & after all it is for health purposes so who can argue with that? :) ;)

Ummm, I pulse fire my coils on my Provari just as Zen does.

I get your point, though. You just wanted an excuse to buy another mod. ;) (It could have been that red Provari you lust for instead of a mech though.)

Moishesmom - I'm glad my story made sense to you, I'm hoping it will work on my husband. ;) He's not quite sure what hit me yet but he's really happy I'm not smoking. I might fall prey to the middle of the night itchy finger syndrome though. No...no... I mustn't, I will be strong! Sheesh, giving up analogs was easier than waiting for a 2nd Provari!

Honestly, I was totally sincere. I bought the V2 last week as a b-day present to myself (b-day next week). It said 'clearance' & that's my favorite designer. At that time I was unaware that I couldn't use my hoarders load of flat-top batts but that's another story. Soooo, had to also order the correct batts; I had already ordered the 18650 extension. As I was hitting the Visa button constantly, drool was falling on my keyboard everytime I saw the mini - I was deeply in love. After a crazy, sleepless night last night, my thoughts drifted to 'what the heck' - who knows how many b-days I'm going to have (gruesome thought isn't it?) so realizing it's only that much less in my daughter's inheritance, I did it. I pay my bill in full every month & really at this point I'm through (the red mini is awfully cute too) STOP!!

Funny, because I couldn't resist a 2nd from craigslist this morning!

Moishesmom, I knew you were sincere and I'm with you 100%. My user name refers to the streaks that have appeared in my blonde hair, so I know those sleepless nights all too well. I've been known to pop to Provape in the wee hours for a look-see and drool too. Up front I told my husband my mini was his present to me for my birthday (last April) and our anniversary (August). Call me crazy but I asked him not to get me anything until I knew what I really wanted. He'll probably laugh when I tell him my story/rationale for getting another one. Like you and others here, he'll say I should just go for it. I like thinking of it as a reward to myself, he'll gratefully call it my Christmas present. Either way I win. I may cheat a little and order it so it arrives just as I hit my 1 month goal. ;) Happy vaping!

Badexec - good scoop!

You just cracked me up with your white streaks. Back in the day, I used to highlight my hair & I'm a natural blonde (no blonde jokes, thank you), anyways, I couldn't understand why I had white streaks in the front where they should have grown out...DUH!! I would definately cheat a month early - just think of all the holiday mail & heaven forbid you wouldn't want it to get lost...just saying..;)

Is it true if you Vape a Provari in the sun on the second equinox...you sparkle?

:p

Wish I could afford one...nah...I would just buy an MVP V2...who am I kidding

Worry not Hawk of War, the ProVarinati extends friendship to others beyond our cult, provided they come in peace. I, myself, am about to welcome another Grecian Goddess into my household.

I realized today that my vaping habits changed when getting a Provari.

I feel like I've been vaping for a while. Over 2 years now, and ecigs were very different back then. Started with cig-a-likes, then eGo in every variety, finally APVs and I've owned 4 of them and tried 80% of them. I resisted the Provari for so long. Too expensive, I said. It's overkill I thought. It's just a battery, it can't possibly be any better than the majority of the stuff out there.

I was so wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. Can't say it enough. Wrong. But once I switched, I now realize, HOW I vape changed. Owning a Provari has some interesting side effects:

I started enjoying vaping a little bit more. It become much more of a hobby then satisfying a nicotine craving. I joined this forum, a place I have only ever gone to look for answers to questions. I've started striking up conversations with other Provari owners online and in the real world. I haven't been on a forum in 10 years. I barely knew they still existed! Yet here I am. 3-4 times daily! I made a signature (with help), I joined a folding @ home group and then gave the site $24!For no reason, except to see what all of you are up to because we use the same battery! Mind blowing. Also, thank you, because you guys are great and helped steer me toward getting the right Provari stuff, which leads me to...

I also went a little nuts buying everything I could for it. How can you put a $12 tank on a $160 battery? You can't. You can actually, with an adapter, so yes I bought one of those too. But you feel guilty. My Provari deserves a better tank, right?! Well I had to have 3 of those Cirrus tanks, because 3 is better than 1 (almost always). Then I needed cartos. Of course the next shop I went to had a shorty double heat treated pyrex carto tank (drool)...so why not one of those too!? Oh and short cartos to go with them. Cheap batteries? Not in my Provari! All new AW cells, 350's and while I'm here, how about 490's...sure! Oh, I need an extension cap for that? Awesome, throw that in too. I can't charge those in my crappy charger, I need a $50 charger with overcharge protection. Drip tips? Why do I need 5 of them? I only use one at a time. But I bought 5. And of course they match the Provari. Cleaning kit, check. LUBE! I bought lube for the threads of my Provari. Yes, approved joint compound, for an ecig. Double mind blown.

Perhaps the best side effect is that after using the Provari Mini for a little bit, I found that I was using it so much more than my last APV that I had to go from 18mg juice to 6mg. It didn't take long, a week or two. I used to vape 18mg all day (I thought) but I love the Mini so much that it rarely leaves my hand or sight. Which means it gets hit 2-3x more than any other battery I have used. I loved smoking. I was a 2 pack a day guy. I used to use 24mg juice. 6mg used to be like 0 to me. Now all the juices I'm ordering are 6mg. Why? Because I can't put it down! It makes every hit taste better somehow, magically. It feels better in my hand. I'm vaping 2-3x more, I had to drop the nicotine just to stay on my feet. Why am I dizzy? I'm not usually dizzy. Oh, I vaped 3+ ml of 18mg juice today! That's funny, it was like 1.0-1.6ml before...

The last side effect is not a great one. Now I look down on most everything else. Don't get me wrong...some of that custom mechanical stuff is downright beautiful. It's art, I get it and I respect it. It's just not for me. The Provari Mini has completely redefined the bar for me. I feel bad judging people for not using a Provari, but I can't help it. I feel bad for them. I want them to enjoy vaping as much as I do. But then I don't, because what if everyone used a Provari and then somehow mine would be less special? GASP! Which is totally silly, but terrifying because it really is just that special! For the 3rd or 4th time now in only this thread...mind blown. (exploding sound)

Until you use one, and I mean more than just try it once in a shop but use it for a week or two and hold it and love it and maybe name it george...then you simply have no idea that anyone can feel that way about a battery.

Did you start wearing a monocle with a top cap and vape with your pinky out? I started doing that once I got a provari then it all went down hill when I got a mechanical.... I am now broke with nice mods...look great in forums but a bum in real life... lol

The mech was less than 20 dollars...

Besides, now I can tell the sub-ohm pukes, "meh, I have a mechanical, I prefer my ProVari".

I have 5 mechs, all US made high quality, and I have only used one once yesterday since getting my Provari, with an 810 atty drip tip to test vape some new juice I concocted.

I am hooked!;)
