Greeting follow Reo lover, you will encounter no flames here; we are only happy you have found something to keep you off of cigarettes. But why, pray tell, did you feel the need to come to our thread and make an irrelevant post?

Jus' cause it was ~4am on a Sunday morning, this thread was near the top of the "new posts" search result, and frankly, I'm a little sick of all the silly, slavish Provari worship. ;)

That is why those of us who enjoy our devices post about it in a forum dedicated to ProVari enthusiasts, where we will not bother other people. I hope you are not dismayed when you discover the Reonauts are just as "slavishly" devoted to the device of their choice.

I would like to quantify all my "Provari" jovialities

I am NOT in any way EVER knocking an American made pymp rig...EVER!

It is an incredible piece of high quality manufacturing, I would be PROUD to own one...I just don't have the money (and I started off with a podunk generic straight outta China Vamo V3 [which unfortunately precludes the reason for the expenditure, like you really "need" a reason...by try explaining that to the wife..yeah right!])

It's like standing there in awe at a Ferrari..KNOWING I will NEVER have something that nice

Please don't ever take my "ribbing" as baiting, or hating on the Provari, I have the utmost respect

I'm just all

Be patient....

Look in the classifieds, sometimes you can score a buy!

I did with my mechs..., I didn't buy them all from Puresmoker, too darn expensive my friend...

You'll get one!

I understand the Reo fanatics more, though.

Their device of choice is more unique. The Provari is just another tube APV, and without a modern screen or VW.

*shrug* Clearly, I don't "get it", and I won't, until the company makes an updated unit that's on par with current Chinese models' technical capabilities.

I hear the vape quality from a Vamo V3 (and most other "lower/mid end" APV's) to that of a Provari are night and day, due to the 33.3 hz to the 200hz cycling frequency of the amp for RMS

Hell, you might be right. I doubt I'd really appreciate the difference, though. When it comes to VV/VW APV's, the topper used seems to be the biggest factor when it comes to enjoyable vapage.

I have always taken your ribbing as jest. I often laugh at myself, why shouldn't other people? I am just dismayed at why certain members feel the need to come to a sub-forum specifically for enthusiasts of a particular device and post disparaging comments about it. Does it ever occur to them that we don't give a flying fruit bat what they suck on?

I hate to break it to you, but a Reo is about as retro as you can get. The Grand is available in VV, but there's no VW or any screen at all.

Oh, I get that. I can see that we're starting to .... heads here, but that wasn't my intention. You're fiercely protective of the "Provarinati".. ok, whatever. I'll bow out of this thread after this post, cause this is going nowhere fast.

Anyway; the way I see it, you get a mech mod, (tube or other alternative styles, of which the Reo is one), and these have various advantages, depending on the design, or an APV, (or perhaps several of both types, whatever, the point is that they're different). However, "APV's" are generally a lot cheaper, unless you buy a Provari.

Go back to lovin that overpriced tube. Have fun. I've more than said my piece. ;)

I'm vaping a Reo right now, or did you miss that part? I don't think we're butting heads, I'm sorry if I've said something to offend you. It's true I love my ProVari, but I also love my Reo, my Phidias and my Bobo (a limited edition Sigelei Zmax). The Vamo is the only one I'm not too crazy about, but it's a personal preference. I would never disparage someone's decision to get one.

Meh.

Various Chinese APV's will do all that a Provari will do and, (in many cases), more.

I'm buying a Reo instead.

When Provari comes out with a current model, (with better menu system and modern screen), I might consider one. ;)

Flame on, if you'd even like to waste the effort. :D

Indeed, the my Chinese mods did much more. My first Vamo lasted about a month, in that time I learned how to pry the firing pin up with my new set of dental picks every time when switching toppers. I watched some videos, went to hardware store and bought orings, which seemed to have fixed the pin problem. It rolled off of a table, onto a cork floor and the body became "wobbly", soon thereafter, it stopped working altogether.

My second Vamo took a fall off of the same table, appeared to still work, but started burning atomizers (power regulator failed).

With both Vamos, I could tell when the battery was getting below the 3.7V level. With both V2 and V3 Vamos there was a significant degradation in the vapor quality with a low battery.

Bear in mind that i have an itaste MVP and itaste VV\VW, and I love both, in fact it was switching between the MVP and the Vamos that led me to question the 33Hz electronics in the cheapo Chinese products.

I got my Provari 3 weeks ago. The thing is consistent, and lovely as hell.

The difference between the Vamo (and other cheap mods) and the Provari is like comparing a Harbor Freight voltmeter to a Fluke. Your inability to tell the difference doesn't imply that there is no difference.

I will be buying a mini here very soon, right after I buy my 1st Reo. :)

Any baby-vapers who have that sneaking suspicion that they should just get the Provari now. Well, I wish I had. I would have saved some $$.

Thanks for the story. I don't own a Vamo. My daily APV is a Tesla, which is prone to none of the defects that you mention. It has a spring-loaded center pin, (in addition to a simple 3-button menu system, an OLED screen, VW funtionality, etc, but I digress), which ensures that there are never any contact issues between the battery and the topper. I guess I is stupid for spending ~half the $ on it instead of a Provari, though. :D

If you like it and it performs the way you want it to, what makes you think anyone would consider you stupid? There is no one type fits all device. It is wonderful to have so many choices!
