So I've been off my e-cigs for abut ten days now. I was sick with what the doctor said was an upper respiratory infection the whole week after the first of the year. I had a fever for four days. I quite the e-cigs completely and started taking antibiotics and feel better.

But for the last ten days or so I've been fairly stressed out. I've just been getting these stress headaches which make me really tired. Plus I've ben getting depressed with mild bouts of anxiety.

I'm seriously considering hitting the vapor again just to get some nicotine and hopefully relax my nerves. But I also feel bad for even considering doing it because i've been proud of the fact that I've been completely free of everything. But I tell you I am stressed out and for no good reason.

Dont know about others here, but in the past 30 years when I was really sick I could go without the nic fairly easily for a few days until I started feeling better and then there was an immediate need for my nic and a return to what I previously smoked. Since on Dec 14th your go to strength was 18 mg nic I'm presuming here that was your nic strength when you quit vaping. Headaches, feeling stress, and bouts of anxiety are signs of nic withdrawal which you are likely experiencing right now.

Its all up to you if you decided to fight your way through it and stay nic free or choose to return to using your e-cig and allow yourself some nic. One option could be to return to using some nic while vaping and make a plan to reduce it over the coming weeks to help you break that addiction to nic more slowly and then use o nic juice while you break the addiction to the action of vaping.

The other though is, have you tried just vaping o nic juice to see if you feel better and less stressed and anxious? To my great surprise I found over a week ago now that I'm no longer addicted to nic, BUT I realize that I still very much need the actions of vaping so I vape o nic. How long I'll need to do this I have no idea but for now vaping o nic is working for me and I'm thrilled !

What ever you choose, the most important thing is to NOT return to smoking analogs. There's no disgrace in admitting one is not ready to be totally free of nic yet, even if they thought they were. Some will never to able to kick that nic addiction and others of us can succeed in becoming nic free if we wish, but that path to do so isn't always a smooth and easy one. Its got lots of twist and turns and roadblocks strewn all over it for us to make our way through. Good Luck in what ever you choose.

Yeah I never intended to quit. It was just a side effect of getting sick. I would vape and it would hurt my throat so I stopped vaping. In fact just the week before I had bought myself an all steel special edition Riva kit. So I've hardly gotten to use it.

But I have to admit, my lungs do feel better even being off the vapor. The vapor was way better than cigarettes but nothing is even better still. Except for the stress headaches.

I think vaping a little 0 nic is a good idea. I have a bottle of VG in my toolbox that I could drip on some atomizers.

have you tried snus ? I think if I had the flu or coughing problems I would snus to get my nic to give my lungs a break

I wouldn't worry too much if you slip back into vaping, if it is something you are comfortable with personally as an adult. However like you said, this might be an opportunity to get off nicotine completely. You say its been 10 days, I believe I've read after 3 days the nicotine is out of your system and any withdrawals from that point are just psychological. But as we all know quitting nicotine is easier said than done
