My answer would be either Star Trek TNG, Downton Abbey, or Northern Exposure.
I'm not even a big fan of Star Trek or Northern Exposure, but I think it would be incredibly interesting to be there for a month.

Good question! I would love to spend a lot of time in the ST:TNG era (see Shadav's post above & quoted below for my reasons
). Downton Abbey is definitely another in which I'd love to spend some time. Another fun one would be Outlanders or GOT I think. 
That would be a fun time as well, though if the choice were between DW & ST:TNG, it's ST:TNG for me. Because: holodeck

The problem with Downton Abbey is that you could come back as a servant (or worse.) No guarantee that you'd be part of the gentry.
The same with TWD. If you managed to start as a human, there's a good chance you'd be a zombie by the time the month was up.
Agree with ST:TNG's allure but life on the TARDIS is sort of a perpetual holodeck adventure. Of course, I'd have to choose which Doctor visitied. It would be the 10th (David Tennant.) As much as I loved the 4th (Tom Baker) it's a better show with better adventures these days.
I might lean towards Dr. Who. as long as i didn't have to be a dalek or an innocent bystander....

I am also quite adept with swords, knives, and baseball bats.And personally, I think the group should just kick .... and take Alexandria because those people are a bunch of wussies and cowards with no survival instincts. I would not only survive, but, I would actually shine and have my own personal dictatorship WALT DISNEY WORLD WOULD BE MINNNNNNEEEEEE! Seriously-would make a great stronghold
