Your sweet spot is at .8Ω?

Not long ago I too was looking for a little better vape with the same train of thought. Lower resistance wire, more wraps. And like JC Okie mentioned, it takes longer to heat up. I lost my response time which was important to me.

Once I got the 26g dialed in with my preferred heat-up time I was no longer at .8. But I did find my new all-day-vape at .68Ω. (26g 7 wraps on 1/16th drill bit)

I'm still running a stock REO Grand with an RM2 or cyclone at .68Ω and I find as long as I keep the top of the battery coated with dielectric grease (Filthy-Beast tip) I don't have any firing pin problems either.

This is just my sweet spot which also required changes in air flow and vaping technique. You might want to consider less complex changes like coil position and air flow before taking it to the next level by heating things up like I did.

I went a head and ordered some 26 g kanthal. I already have the fuse mode and brass firing pin so I'm not real concerned about the miss fires. I will take your advice and try the .6 - .7 range when it comes in.

I did 9 wraps of 28g then heated and squished it with tweezers and got a 2 ohm, if you do this on a dual coil you will be right around your sweet spot.

i do 6 wraps of 24g and it works out pretty good......comes out to .4 ohms though......so 8 wraps of that should get around .6 which aint too bad.....

What are you wrapping on? 9 wraps of 28 should be nowhere near 2 ohm
