Hey guys and girls,

Just a question, how do people super sub ohm vape at 0.09 ohms on mech mods. I plugged it into the ohm calculator and the amps comes back at around 46A (assuming the battery is discharging 4.2V)? I thought 18650 batteries rarely go over 30A safely?

Also, could someone help me out or even send me a link regarding building on a rda? I'm confused how people dual coil on a 3 post or triple or quad coil on a 4 post? Is it just one long coil wire or can you have 2 or more wires in one post, if so can those wires touch? (Sorry if this sounds stupid)

What are some safety checks to take when rebuilding on an RDA? And what safety checks to take when using a mech mod (general safety as well as how to prevent short circuits and battery venting)? What's a hybrid mod and the dangers of them (I heard something about them being dangerous with the wrong tank/atty)?

mods are available that take 2 or 3 batteries in parallel to handle those higher power levels and you can find plenty of videos on you tube on how to build coils but you need to learn to walk before you can run and what your looking into can be very dangerous if you are not an experienced well educated vaper.super sub ohm vaping is like driving a formula 1 race car. you need to learn to drive first then move up to more powerful units

Also, you know how regulated mods have the ability to boost voltage, and according to V=IR, as voltage increases, and if resistance is constant, then current will increase, would that mean that regulated mods can push a battery past its max continuous current safely? or is it the same rules as a mech mod where there are safety implications?
with requlated mods you need to add 10% to your resitance requirements for circuit losses and a mod does not know what battery you are using and does not monitor battery temprature so yes it can push a battery beyond it maximum safe operating current. you need to use good high current batteries and monitor you battery temprature when vaping

Does using a sleeper coil build still half the ohms if you dual coil? Its stuff like this I don't understand :p

I beleive so, yea. I have never built one and once you have the first coil wrapped, you have to install that coil, feed the long end through the positive post and wrap the second side which can be a pain because you are building that coil on the RDA and close the post. Can be a little tricky.

I dont really see the point of a sleeper coil though.

Why do people use mech mods then?, regulated mods seem like a much safer alternative?
mech mods are simple and reliable and with low power tanks they can give better flavor.when I use my protank on my segelei 50 watt mod or 15 watt kick I get a slight burnt taste and muted flavor. with my gs-h5led tank the led actually flashes on my 15 watt kick. these use the coils as an integrater to smooth out the short high power pulse and small coils experience hot spots on them. even with the 1.5 ohm 28awg coils I use in my subtank and EK-V2 I notice this effect to a lesser degree. mech mods also do not experience the "glitches" that can happen with regulated mods. with the tanks and coils I use I get better flavor with a mech mod and they are very reliable and easy to maintain and repair

Up to a couple years ago regulated mods only went up to 15 watts, so people who wanted to vape higher wattage could only do it with mech mods

Another issue is a mech is a good failsafe backup. I use have mechs with kick modules for backup.
