Hi guys!

I've been doing some research on nicotine salts, and having tried them from a friends juul-like setup (bless her heart ), I actually like the faster absorption rate they're engineered to have.

That being said I'm happily vaping on around a 1ohm rebuildable mesh setup. (Profile v.1.5 squonking RDA on a temperature controlled Dovpo Topside Dual mod), SO the more common 20mg strength would obviously be borderline dangerous. But now I'm learning they have 0-6mg strength for rebuildables which is very exciting.

What are your guys' experiences/thoughts on these sub-ohm nic salts? And if there are any brands you recommend, I'd love to hear from you!

Welcome back,
Any type of nicotine can be used in any type of device.
Adjust nicotine strength to suit.
Regular and salt nicotine can even be mixed to get you the throat hit you need and the nicotine thump you want.

I mix/DIY at 25mg/ml freebase for pod devices (minifit/Gala) and 6mg/ml or 12mg/ml for rba/rta use at .5Ω up to 1.0Ω respectively.

Hope that helps.

Agreed, I vape at lower wattages though in DL at 10mg/ml and as for MTL I tend to stick to around 20mg/ml.
Added distilled water gives a better throat hit at lower wattage.

Thank you! :)

That's the insight I needed, I think I was overestimating how hard the salt nicotine would hit, I was afraid that a big hit from 12mg would have the room spinning lol! I literally just went to my local shop and grabbed some 6mg, and it's exactly what I was looking for.

For anyone wondering I'm vaping the 6mg nic salt Berry Bomb by VGOD, on a 0.13ohm stainless steel (ss316L) mesh coil (temperature controlled to 450F, TCR value at 90) it's actually very smooth on the throat, tasty, and feels similar to a small puff of a cigarette, which is right where I want it. I'm officially a fan, now if only Kai's Virgin Vapors would make a 6mg nic salt I'd be one happy camper!:thumb:

12mg nic, any type at subohm and higher wattage will have me coughing my guts out. Too much misinformation about nic salt for this and freebase nic for that. For the record, nic salt CAN be used I higher percentages than freebase nic but it's best to use these higher percentages at lower wattage. Not saying some individuals cant use high mg nic salt at high wattage, I've known a person or two who do this. I even tried it myself. Doesn't work for me. But to say use nic salt in this device and freebase in that device is ridiculous. I did all my DIY in nic salt at my preferred strength of 6mg/ml. .15 to .22 ohm at 50 to 65 watts. The only advantage salts have over freebase is the fact that you can go higher on the mg/ml than you can with freebase but you should adjust your wattage according to the percentage of nicotine you are using.
