Greetings all, I was curious about something. A very kind and generous person sent me an ipv mini 2 and an iSub G tank they weren't using (bless them) and I had a quick question.

Right now the iSub coil is an 0.5 ohm coil but reading at 0.4 ohm. I started it out at 22 watts and it was great. I then brought it down gradually all the way to 15 and am still getting a big warm cloud after only about a 1.5 second button press. Am I doing it wrong or so some people vape this way? For some reason 25-30 watts+ on this 0.4 ohm coil seems a bit extreme. Care to enlighten me or chime in?

I hope everyone's evening is going well. Thanks! :)

As a point of reference, Utsuru...

If you were running a 0.4Ω net resistance build on an unregulated mech mod... the discharge for Ohm's law parity would be 44 watts. This doesn't take into account the optimal build - wire gauge or number of coils in parallel - for that wattage.

Thick wire and/or multiple coils will lower the perceived temperature, thin wire and/or a minimal coil count will increase it.

This comment - "I then brought it down gradually all the way to 15 and am still getting a big warm cloud after only about a 1.5 second button press" - leads me to believe you have the latter build type.

If you click the first sigline hyperlink below... you can learn all about how the above variables interact.
