I plan on getting the k100 kit. My local vape shop sells it for 39.99 and research shows it's a great mod for beginners. It comes with the charger, 1 18350 and 1 18560 efest batteries. It has a floating centre pin

I have a chi you which includes a kick tube so I can (and do) use an optional kick if I want using the same 18650's as my regulated mods.

The k100 can't take the kick with a 18650.

Something to consider before you spend.

I would tend to agree. Regulated mods with bypass are not really good for sub-ohm use. The tend to overheat the boards. There are lots of good low priced clone mods out there. If you get the kamry don't go below .7 ohms, the batteries that come with it are a little weak and no telling how old. It is a good starter mod, reasonably well built. If you get a set of good batteries you can go pretty deep sub-ohm, say .2 ish before the switch starts having problems.

FYI; at $40 I would question the authenticity of that kit. I don't know if it's clones are good or not.

You may encounter the switch getting hot. It's a common problem with poorly machined and dirty threading. If this happens, clean your threading well. If that doesn't help, polish it.

Honestly? If you can stand to keep it above .7 I highly recommend you get a vapesafe fuse (heck, but 5 they're cheap enough). It's a fuse that will shut everything down if you encounter a hard short, which can sometimes happen, even if you're diligent with your safety measures. I never leave the house without mine. It's compatible with many mechanical devices, but I know for sure it'll fit in a Nemesis, even with the 18650 battery, if you use the small ring. It's marketed as a kick extension on a lot of sites, but it's really not bit enough for that. Seriously, get a fuse. It's a really cheap little piece of mind.
