Added plain PG to all my liquid, ended up with twice as much to vape.
Not going to a subtank but to the 0.5 ohm ego one. 20-30 watts.

Yep, when I started vaping with clearos and tanks I was vaping 12-18mg then I got my first sub ohm setup nic levels quickly dropped to 6mg which is where I am at now. About a month ago I got some 12mg from a trade and thought "yeah I can vape that it's not that high" I was wrong. 
I run all my drippers at 18mg nic. I recently got a Subtank nano to try out and its now loaded up with some 18mg nic Strawberry Hibiscus tea juice. Running it on a okl2 t20 box
Yes. It's pretty common. People who drip have known this for a long time. Anything over 6 is intolerable for a lot of people. Most stick with 3mg.
I drip 3mg and use 6mg in my tank (Lemo) setups. I started at 12mg, but as soon as I moved away from my Aerotanks and onto rebuildables I had to drop the nic level.
I vape 12mg as well and have done as much as 24mg on 70 watts when I really needed a cigarette.

Got some 9mg from VapeWild, been vaping it in a SubMini with Kanger 0.15 NI200 factory coil head, 440f @ 20 watts on a VaporShark rDNA........Yum!
I cut my nic in half to 6 when moving to an rta. I just bought 0 nic juice and mixed it. I smoke between 3 and 6 now.
I vape 12mg on my subtank and orchid. I vape 24mg in my emow mega tobacco flavor tank. Seems to work well. When I use a dripper it is most of the time 6mg but I can do 12mg ok, just tastes better with the lower nic levels on the drip.
I learned this out the hard way. Bought the kanger subtank and just vaped as I usually do, 6MG ten puffs every half hour or so. At first I loved the nicotine hit, but then felt ill and had a massive headache. If I want a stronger nicotine hit now I just increase the MG. I might try it again with a lower nicotine level in the future. I reckon even 2MG is enough.
Everybody told me not to go over 6mg, when I had an Atlantis on an Istick 30. They said I'd hate it if I went higher. 6mg wasn't cuttin it. I got some 9mg off a B&M in Gville (some of y'all will know the place 
) That really wasn't the "fix" I was looking for either. I now use 12mg. I've switched from the Atlantis to a Subtank Mini. I use the rebuildable coil, but not with the wire it came with (not impressed), my bro wrapped me up one. It is .8 ohms, hits great, and 12mg out of it is just right

Yep. 12mg is my sweet spot as well. I don't know why but somebody created this rule that Dripper/Subtank specific vaping isn't to be done with a juice higher then 6mg. I find this flawed rule to be unfortunate because the vendors with Max VG lines aren't making their juices above 6mg either.Everybody told me not to go over 6mg, when I had an Atlantis on an Istick 30. I went from a Nautilis to a Atlantis, but found my levels didn't drop at first. Then I upgraded from a Kbox to a Ranger, and strangly at the same 20 watt level (well 21 watts on the Ranger, since it won't turn down further than that), I suddenly found the 12mg very strong. I am now trying 6mg, but finding it a bit weak, time to mix.
I was told by a vendor that if I needed more than 24mg, I wasn't doing it right. [emoji38]

This is so frustrating. Luckily I know a guy that will fix all my 6mg juices woes. I get these bumped up to 18mg nic.
This type of stuff infuriates me. If any vender ever said anything like this to me I would in detail tell him some things not to be mentioned here and about how he will never see another cent of my money.
as the amount of heat increases, the more efficient the vaporization process is. before the high power devices came out, the only way to generate enough watts to encounter this was to sub ohm. as technology has increased, it is possible to generate lots of watts regardless of the resistance of the coil.
i started at 18-24 mgs/ nic in clearos. started dripping and immediately had to go down to 6. 6 is fine.. but at enough watts.. i could see 3 being a better option.
these subtanks apparently do a really good job... expect to need lower strength nic juices. (which you can cut yourself w/ vg/pg or buy some juice in zero nice and mix)
