SubTank mini spitting issue

As per thread title.

Anyone with subtank mini face this prob b4 and found a solution?

I hate getting juice in my mouth.

Buy a mesh sheet cut a bit off and stick it in the 510 under your drip tip, now you've got a splash guard

Wicking as in the cotton placed on deck? Sry im still new to the terms.

Nice. Will give it a try. For the time being i stuffed cigarette cotton filters in the drip tip but now, i dont get much taste. Was thinking can those adjustable knucklehead drip tips work to "block" spittings.

If you don't use enough cotton the gaps between it and the coil will be pockets of air which will burst and spit. If your wick is thin enough to allow excess juice on your coil, it'll spit. There's a balance as too much cotton will choke the wick and you'll end up with dry hits. The wick needs to be as tight as possible through the coil, but can still be pulled through the coil both ways without gathering or tearing.

The good thing about mesh is it won't obstruct or restrict the vape like a cigarette filter, all the taste and vapor but none of the liquid in mouth, dunno why we haven't seen drip tips with built in splash guards yet

I used to use 400 mesh and it worked well. If you can't buy vape paraphernalia online or from local stores in SG (Mesh would be in the 'wick' section), Just google search 400micron mesh and see what you get, or you can try pipe screens available from most tobacconists

Did a search online. Some of the sites how [HASHTAG]#400[/HASHTAG] dtainless steel mesh. Is this the right one?

Read somewhere the # depends on the juice.. High or low PG affects the wicking. High PG get low #.. Like ard 300. Or is it the other way round ?? Can't remember.. ;(
Higher W also seems to tone down the 'poping', for me at least..

Just to add on to the topic, I noticed using a smaller ID coil reduced the spitting quite significantly as well (2mm is what I use now the small screwdriver that they provided) where previously I was using 3mm with bad flavours and bad spitting problem.

Also firing for a little while before dragging helps too

Its usually about how you do your coil/wicking.

Sadly I face the complete opposite. I'm getting dry hits every now and then with my subtank mini. Don't know if its the tank or me. Anyway hi guys! Nice to finally interact with fellow sg vapers

I think you should check on your coil, I find dry hits really damaging to the coil and cotton and the burnt taste will further leech into the juice itself making it hard to remove other than dumping and rebuild. Burn clean the wire and rewick to test but would recommend to fully rebuild and replace the juice.

Oh I've recoiled multiple times. The moment I get dry hits I recoil over and over until the coil works perfectly fine. Though I've ordered an RBA plus that supposedly eliminates dry hits . Super duper excited for that now heehee.

ahh the older RBA has some issue with the juice hole being too small hence the dry hits. RBA plus so far been working fantastic for me
