Hey fellow Reonauts,

I'm sure this is against the rules somehow but I don't care, I'm going to suggest a new Reoville courtesy.

Can we please somehow get the word out here in Reoville first before we sell coveted things like Woodvilles in the classies? I have spent literally the last several month F5-ing the classies to death and checking the trade thread here only to step away to make some breakfast this morning and have a beautiful 18650 slip through my fingers.

Everyone has the right to do as they wish with their property but it is widely known these are highly sought after devices and I think sharing a heads up shouldn't be out of the question.

I believe Susan is a reonaut but she spends a lot of time helping new members In that area. You can be sure that woody has went to a good home. I didn't catch that one either. Missed it by 3 minutes.

Keep your chin up you will snag one eventually. [emoji106]

Hopefully I can as well. I've been stalking classies for months for a 18650 woody.

There are too many of US that want these!

You'd be surprised how many REOnauts mention they will soon be posting a wood REO for sale somewhere here in REOville. I have just because I want to know the home it will be going to. :)

I don't stalk the classies for them although I do visit the classies off and on... for them and other things. But way more off than on, last time there was last month. Luck was with me maybe to snag 5 Woodies in 2 months, but more likely not as they had all been up for a while, some a long while, so I guess they were not wanted by any others that saw them before me. Could have had both of the ones offered by one seller I have a long history with, and did almost take them both. But I left a very nice 18650 for somebody else wanting one instead of hogging them. There have been others I would have bought in a heartbeat had I seen them before they were sold..... some of those only lasted very short minutes before they were sold to..... stalkers. ;)

I will probably be buying more, but with 5 in use now I don't feel any urgency. I don't do FaceBook, so it's the classies or nothing.

Patience is rewarded along with perseverance. I truly stalked the classies for quite a while. Yes that included while at work, via my smartphone. I checked at least once an hour and sometimes more often. I scored two Woodvils in the same week after many days of nothing. Don't give up. It was a shout out from another Reonaut in a different thread that allowed me to score my second one. Keep the faith. :)

'grammar'

I got a woodvil on the classies and it was just blind luck really. It provides a good change of pace to my usual vaping and i measured the catchcup (it's one of the l ones from run 2, where there's some variation - not like the last batch) and Rob milled a RM2 specifically to fit it.

It runs 1Ω coils just fine, but out of sympathy for the switches, i'd not run anything lower than that.

You might be surprised at how many people LOVE their Reos, and treasure them every bit as much as you do, yet really don't post much. Like me. I read all the time, but post rarely. I'm sad to hear this "US and THEM" thinking. It's not very welcoming.
I love my Reo and don't use anything else. I thought I was part of "US" anyway, even without a major posting presence. I guess I'm not?

Not really us vs them. Many of the REOnauts are addicted to wood. They are rare, and he was asking for a heads up in our neck of the woods before posting on the classifieds. They literally will sell within minutes at times. Anyone viewing this forum would get the same heads-up.

Anyone can post, or lurk here. I was welcomed when I was just considering an REO. Rob is even cool with us talking about our DIY projects or other products depending on how the subject is approached.

It makes sense, and I probably jumped to the wrong conclusion. Thank you. I agree, they are beautiful works of art. I read here on the Reo forum quite often, but just don't post much, and I don't know why. Maybe I should start, because I am Reo-loyal all the way.

You are absolutely correct Mia, I have been feeling guilty about that today and thought the same. I don't mean it as an "us vs. them" in an elitest sort of way but I know that is how it sounded.

The post was born of frustration and I should have engaged my "filter" before posting. Was not intended to upset anyone and I am truly sorry I did not pay more attention before I hit the post button.

Absolutely no harm done, and I understand where you were coming from much better now. I was probably too sensitive, that's all. Proud to be part of Reoville, even if I am quiet most of the time!

If you manage to irritate more people than i do - then please share the secret!

I read it as a post borne of frustration at the inconsiderate posting of gear one wants when in the car, at work, paypal is being a dog, wife needs ..........

I think the idea is a good one, and perhaps the current swap thread sticky would be the place for those advance warnings, or even a dedicated thread itself, so that if you subscribed to it - and people were good enough to post their intent to sell one, you'd know.
