My Lavatube is my first adventure in to something bigger. I am really happy with it so far! Just pair it up with some 3.0 single coil Boge carto's and you're good to go!

Suggestions for a variable voltage for a newbie to mods?

I don't get it! The $52 smoktek vari-cool box mod is got to be one of the best mod's on the market. Fully adjustable from 3.0 to 6.5 volts. NEVER gets hot, never drops voltage, uses 80% less battery power, hence batteries last a couple days! Under heavy, non-stop vaping, I've gotten at least 10 hours from my little 14500's! Amazing! And yet everyone talks about Lavatubes & the Bolt, as if their a true VV. Or I only see Provari or Darwin. My previous VV was the MadVapes $32 VV. It was Awsome except it got so hot when dialed down.
I agree, that if you compare the cost of analogs to the cost of even the most expensive mod, your still saving lots of money. However, why spend so much if you simply don't have to. think the only possible draw back may be that a box mod isn't Pocket friendly, but really...what apv is?

I've heard nothing but A+ reviews for the SmokTek Vari-Cool Box Mod...it's one I plan to buy and try myself.
