In the past few weeks, I was struggling with analogs/vaping. WTA is fabulous, majorly reduced my chain vaping. Anyway sunflower seeds help bypass analog cravings as well. Went and purchased a couple bags of sunflower seeds the other day, to my surprise while chompin on sunflower seeds, no thought of analogs at all, even refrain from vaping for a few. Last night, I chomped on sunflower seeds for 3-4 hours, didn't have to vape at all.

Just suggesting another alternative, for those struggling to get off analogs.

Meh, unshelled sunflower seeds are a damn mess, and their own disgusting habit.

I like sugarless gum. ;)
Rofl, shelled sunflower seeds are a pure mess. Constantly cleaning around myself, but keeps my brain ocupied off craving an analog. Sugarless gum works a charm to, need to go pick some up :)

Hey, do whatever works for ya to keep off the coffin nails. I've just had too much experience being around sloppy scumbags spitting pieces of sunflower hulls everywhere. :glare:

Gum's comparatively clean, and keeps my mouth occupied for a half hour per piece.

Ymmv.

Potato Chips, Bugles, Doritos, Hershey's Kisses, Mounds Bars, Block cheese, Ice Cream Floats.
Thank goodness I like dessert Vapes or I'd be the size of a house. :D

Block cheese is fine, so long as it's cheddar or swiss, (very little or no lactose).

Trash carbs and sugars will kill you just as surely as cigarettes. ;)

That said, I love dessert vapes too. :D

Chewing tobacco is repulsive. I hadn't heard the "worm dirt" expression before. Very apropos. :D

If the FDA effs with my gum, I'll chew their hides!

OMG!!! I am obsessed with sunflower seeds. I prefer them in-shell. I know its disgusting but I use an empty bottle to spit my shells into. I pop a whole handful in my mouth and start the process of crackin' and spittin'! I don't eat salt (I prefer pepper) but my body craves SFS's. Keeps me from eating a buttload of junk food as well. I always buy a pound bad of David Jumbo's at WalMart. YUM!!!!!!!

Sunflower kernels are nutritious, I'll give you that. However, you live in the modern world, sir! Buy them "nekkid", and quit that nasty spittin! ;)

Tell you a Secret........Shhhh, keep it on the Down low......
Science is Full of Fallacies........well, the Science is good, it just doesn't always apply.
Individual DNA, life stye, etc. must come into play in effecting Facts as we know them.
I am one of those that has literally run on sugar all my life.
Track, Football, Baseball Star. Motocross racer, eventual father of 4 working 12hr days for Decades.... 145lb average and blood sugar never hit critical.

62yrs. now and the only thing that slowed me down was a work related injury.........and Smoking. :-x

I also toss Vaping under the Failed Science Bus...............They just do not take individual DNA into consideration.

Like a fish Breaths water - we can breath Vapor :D

Ah, you're one of those little wiry fellas who annoy us bigger guys, (I'm 6'1", 185lbs), by being able to always do more pushups, pullups, and distance running, cause you're moving around so much less weight. :D You've got that "hummingbird metabolism" that seems to provide near immunity to weight gain. Still, extra sugars in the blood stream demand more insulin production and release, so I'm not convinced that you, (like most people in the modern world), haven't over-stressed your pancreas over the years.. but I don't know one way or the other. I'm not an MD, much less your doctor.

Your larger point is taken; i.e. individual genetics should always be considered when it comes to medical issues, but they rarely, if ever are, and certainly never when bureaucracies are involved.

What about the scum bag chomping cows who stick their gum under tables, spit it out in doorways, and on sidewalks :sneaky:

    careful with them adjectives ;)

I considered that, which is why I said "comparatively clean". Even the scum who carelessly dispose of their gum are a bit cleaner than the scum who spit bits of sunflower hulls everywhere.

Man, I remember chomping sunflower seeds in Little League, filling up dugouts with soggy shells.
These days it's salted pistachios. I crack 'em open in my mouth, and fill up the wife's empty cigarette packs with the shells. During the winter I dry em out to use as kindling for the fireplace.
