I've been stuck in limbo land of sorts when it comes to any "ritual". The biggest challenge for me moving to the e-cig was the craving to reach out and pick up a pack of cigarettes, or reaching into my pocket for a lighter (I've almost lit my e-cig battery, on several occasions), and just the general desire to have that smell and feeling. I kept telling myself that by grabbing on to the ecig and sucking on it like a pacifier was giving me what I needed (and it was).

It's been two months since I made the switch, and while I still have weird cravings to pick up a real cig, I am getting that comfort fulfilled by holding my e-cig.

I've also noticed my patterns changing. I would blast down analogues in just a few minutes (a bad habit picked up in High School) and have one every 30 minutes or so. I tried to repeat that pattern with the e-cig, but now I am finding I am picking it up at more even intervals.

I've slipped here and there and smoked an analogue, but I don't feel guilty about it because I know I can go right back to the e-cig without much of a problem. Now I haven't had an analogue in 2 weeks and the cravings for them have almost fully passed. I love my e-cig and I love all the different flavors I can enjoy. My cat thanks me, my body thanks me, and the people around me thank me. Oh yah, the bank account thanks me too.

Good luck!

I too have only been at this for almost a month (the 14th yay) I was worried I was vaping too much (due to my husband constantly picking on me) but spoke to my Dr who said VAPE away : ) I like the idea of keeping in a different room so I have to get up and get it if I want it. I also dropped my mg down to 4 or 8 which was the point of me quitting smoking. Dont worry about vaping too much puff puff pass!!! Good luck

I'm close to two months now off analogs. One day with the e-cig was all it took to quit completly. Have taken a few drags here and there just to remind myself how bad they taste. (can't believe I smoked these things for 40 years). Anyway.... The only problem with constant vaping seems to be cost.
I think finding the correct nic strength is important. At higher levels I get my fix and am able to stop for a while. At lower levels I find I vape continuously untill I'm almost sick from the nic. Have tried 0 nic at night, but miss the TH. Have a little trouble falling asleep if I vape to much to late.
